I need a new regulator for my S4 ...none in Thailand and $350 if available ...cannot import one so what alternatives are there , something Jap must fit????
Possibly something else will work, no idea what though.
These guys http://www.ignitech.cz/english/aindex.htm sell an aftermarket Ducati regulator but I don't know if it will work with your S4S. They are pretty good at responding to email questions.
Also, there is a company called Electrex (sp?) that makes regulators for older Ducs but again I don't know if they make them for newer models.
I guess none of the above is any help at all if as you say you can't import anything. Why is that? Customs and duty issues?
We sell the electrosport. We should have the 3 phase regulators (for the S4) in stock and are $109. We ship internationally and if you choose to buy from us, delivery should take about a week. Best to ensure that is your problem via the troubleshooting chart here (http://www.electrosport.com/technical-resources/library/articles/pdf/fault-finding-diagram.pdf).
Best,
Chris
Thanks Chris..The problem is still being diagnosed ...imports to Thailand are taxed 35% but are often stolen by the customs agents or shippers ,especially FEDEX in Bangkok.
I may take a chance at that price .

Jeebus! There are SO many things wrong with that, I don't know where to start asking WTF!!??
Theyd probably just open it and go wtf is this?? and let it through lol
Are there any salvage yards in the country?
Those units are VERY reliable so a used three phase Hitachi regulator should fix you right up.
good luck
I asked the main Ducati Dealer in Bangkok for parts but they have 8 customers bikes waiting for the same part and Ducati will not be able to supply until December...trhey have been out of stock for 2 months!!!!!!!
i tried breakers yards but they only have bits for little bikes.
i have ordered one from CA Chris .

WTF??? So if customs agents or someone steals your parts do you get an empty package in the mail?
empty package is common but more often they hold you to ransom on the customs duty asking double or they keep the bits,
Fedex bangkok are the worst offender , Even Fedex Atlanta disown them.
