This is NOT a political thread...

I'm glad you voted, even though you made the wrong choice :P  [evil]

Going as a family this afternoon  [thumbsup]

Lexi has been following the election for a few months, and she is pumped. Last night we talked about our planned trip to the polls, and she asked her mother to get two ballots so she could vote as well. She was heartbroken and actually cried when she was reminded she was too young....

Hey, if she's old enough to drink, she should be able to vote [thumbsup]

Very cool that you guys are going as a family. She may be too young to vote, but she will remember this when she is older!  I have taken my kids into the voting booth with me so they can see how it is done and know that it is important!

I will feel better knowing I didn't contribute to the upcoming debacle.  [roll]

I voted... as I think you should, but there isn't much of a choice. :P I know this isn't a political thread so don't jump my case but why is it we are so entrenched in a two party system? Sometimes it is the lesser of two evils. Why are independents always considered nutcases? I thought Perot, regardless of what you thought of him personally, would have really established that party and put it on solid ground. Forget Ralph Nader... nutcase! I would just sometimes like another choice/option... I don't drink either Miller Lite or Coors Lite. [drink]

Anyway, vote. It gives you the right to pregnant dog afterwards! [thumbsup]

I worked in the halls of Congress for a year and realized, quickly, that everyone there is corrupt.  Some do good work but MOST do NOTHING and talk a big game.  I saw some scary crap in the cloak room and realized this way of life sucks......looking over your shoulder daily is no life.

Oh, I voted for the lesser of two evils.  As I always ask people who debate politics "what has the Government ever touched and made better?"

Thanks.  One day I'll have enough money to buy my own politician; seems to be the "in" thing.  [laugh]
