I officially have no interest in this or their fashion show. Or their new "streetmake the beast with two backser" or 1098R "Bayliss mishap". They have officially lost me as a future customer. Glad I have the Ducatis I have given the factory's decision to put shit out on the street. What the hell happened?? I bet Pierre Terblanche is laughing himself to death!! If a Hummer H3 did a 10 second quarter mile time and lapped at Cresson under record time I still wouldn't buy one. Their bikes are getting stupid and butt ugly. Do not test ride the Hypers, they may make you do naughty things. They are the last of the Terblanche designs (along with the Sport Classics) not too late to put one or two away....
Getting back to the thread...(clearing throat)...I do plan on going to the IMS AND moseying over to AMS for the T&A show and BBQ and maybe later on to the Exotic Car and Bike thingy @ the west end...HELL YEAH! I've never been to AMS Dallas, to a Hyper Truck, or a Ducati fashion show but it's something to do (I still like my Duc and AMS has treated me well).
Don't know yet Cyclone how it works with tickets or whatnot. Yet. :)

I think several of us have had a chance to test ride a Hypermotard but if you haven't, take advantage of this promo at AMS-D. Completely rediculous power that will put a smile on your face no matter what! Tons of fun... If I had more space money, I'd get one for sure.

You know, this actually just caught up with me. I go dove hunting opening weekend every year with my good friend, who is the younger brother of the Britten owner. Grew up with both of them. Older brother actually was there at their west Texas ranch the day I arrived for opening weekend but left an hour or two before I got there. Missed a perfectly good opportunity to raze him about the "alledged" Britten showing and later liquor/beer took over my good reasoning to harrass my friend about his older brother's lame offers of a Britten viewing. So I failed in my mission on many fronts... missed many doves and didn't firm up a Britten viewing. The shame of it all. :P I'll keep trying. I am sure that bike isn't going anywhere and I damn sure can't afford it for my collection! I'll get back some day with real details!

Maybe seasoned means, will not ride off and leave customers in a cloud of tire smoke, or take wrong turns and lose customers in bad part of town.
I could make no promises for either of those.
They just want people that they can trust to take people around the loop and test ride the HM. I'm sure you could talk your way into a discount on goods and/or services for helping out

my personal review of the two bikes i rode yesterday.
first the hypermotard: smooth power delivery (no probs) could be very good bike if only the rider were a bit taller at stop lights. i thought it was a very fun bike and could only think of getting one out here with knobbies on it. riding position alot more dirt bike like than i thought it would be but thats a good thing as it's not the intention of ducati to make it a superbike. looks great would definitly get alot of questions. overall [thumbsup]
second the 08 kawasaki zx6r limited edition (friends bike storing in my garage; cost= leave the keys): quick but not very nimble thru the corners, requires a good amount of steering input much more than the other bikes i have ridden (especially the monster). the ergos suck. the location of the bars feels like they are way down on the front tire. almost forcing a shorter guy like myself to lay on the tank. the front seems to slide in corners. on the freeway it's pretty fun. coming home i was in fourth doing 80 grabbed a handful of throttle and was doing 127 before redline in a blink. looks good especially at the shell station over off hampton and 67 they seemed to like it alot. having put 400 miles on it in 3 days i can say this would be the last choice i would make for a new sportbike in the light-middleweight classes behind the 848, r6, gsxr-750, cbr600, daytona, rc8 (never ridden) and quite possibly hyosung (never ridden). overall i think the kawasaki has exceptional power but not all of us are doing wheelies down the freeway or stunting in a parking lot. some of us actually like to turn.
just my personal opinion.

i find that very strange, i rode 08 ZX6R and the bike has supersharp handling... didnt trag my knee but i could change lines while turning, was fun and the front was very stable, are you sure it was running the right preasure or the tires never been scrubed? Ergos suck in all the other bikes you mentioned... but those bikes didnt made for evey day riding
i have to say...the HM was way more comfy than i expected....and much more fun to ride. just between you and me...i think the front wheel *might* have come off the ground a couple times.

I thought I felt something tapping the bottom of my tire as well.
giannis not real sure it belongs to a friend who doesn't ride very much at all. it felt like every time i got on the gas mid corner the rear tire would slip. i think if i were about 5'10" the ergos might have been a little better. plus for me the reach to the bars wasn't long it just felt way down on the front end.
