.
Ok guys, Sunday it is. Lets plan on meeting at hwy 380 and 423. There is a Shell gas station named Earl's on the North East side. Be there at 9:30 a.m.
Please sound off so we'll know who to expect.
Thanks.
Looks like a fun route. Watch out on the stretch of 121 between 289(preston) and 377, I almost hit a peacock that was hanging out in the road there. My wife following me was expecting a grand technicolor explosion of feathers!
Cool. A peacock. Haven't bagged one of those yet! ;D It would be colorful, wouldn't it? Much prettier than turkeys. [thumbsup]

What city and area is that near?
I see 380 running through Denton and McKinney, but can't find 423. Are y'all really meeting all the way up there? That looks like it would be the end, where you turn around and come back. :P

it's the only road that runs through Little Elm that connects to 380.........it's at the end of that road you will see Earl's (Shell station).
call me if you have questions at 469-879-5505
Thanks.
Thanks, I probably won't make this one. Have fun!

we will indeed be careful, no worries Bon. Sorry you guys couldn't come but do tell us where the cake will make its way to so that we may swing by and take a bite.

Cake is in Burleson! Stop by anytime! The R1 is tagged in some mexican dudes name as of now, but we have insurance on it - I think I could pass for a mexican dude, and am planning to try that if I get pulled over next week on the way to school lol! Just kidding - we are getting a tag next week due to neccesity now......also, the monster will be out of the shop on Tuesday (just in for regular service). Do wish I could make this ride though - I will be thinking of you guys - hope you have a great day! [thumbsup] [moto]
Won't be able to make this but have a great ride. [thumbsup]
It should be a good day to get a ride in before some bad days for riding hit us. [moto]

If I get pulled over my story is that I am on my way to get it inspected to get a tag in my name - that's my story - everytime, everywhere I go - that would work, right? lol! Could possibly still be interested in wearing the wig.......just for fun! [laugh] [evil]
Okay - no ziplock needed - I'll make you guys a red velvet cake at the next party - we need to have a holiday party anyway, right? [thumbsup]

indeed a holiday party is in order. In fact, if everyone would like I will offer up my house on a Saturday afternoon and should some cry about how "far" it is they will have plenty of time to run home before they turn into a pumpkin.
I have used the excuse of the squirts and it has worked, wew that was an 83 in a 55 to.

I will make the trip! I think I owe it a few of the Dallas peeps who have come all the way over to my side of town for several rides! So, I will make a few cakes and bring anything else ya'll need! [thumbsup]
Wow - haven't heard that one before......interesting. I think if I used that one it would take away from some of my ability to just flirt my way out of the ticket.......maybe depends on the cops personality, I don't know. [leo] :-*

I'm using the tag from my 1098 on my 900RR. Still has several months left on it. And my inspection sticker is from 2000. I thought I would tell the cop I paid extra for the ten year inspection.

I have already had the R1 inspected so it has a current inspection sticker - might hurt my story that I am on my way to get it inspected........oh well lol. Thought about taking a tag from one of the other bikes - but didn't know if that would be worse than having a tag that isn't in my name. Probably should just drive over to the DMV and let them give me a legal tag. Hopefully I won't get pulled over either way, right! [thumbsup]
you could always drive over and get it instead of ride. That way you won't have to flirt with some douche bag......unless you're into that
Douchebags need love too
Well the ride was great, Until I almost rear-ended Tery and took a little lowside trip down an embankment on a curve. We both emerged pretty much unscathed. I could have not found a better place to lowside ;D It was basically a large bed of long dry grass and dirt. Did manage to break off the rear brake pedal (just the little piece that you press on) Brake still works (just have to angle my toe a little more to push on the actual arm). Also broke off the little plastic cover that the throttle cable is under on the handle bars. And the front end is a little out of alignment now. The only injury (besides my pride) is a hyper extended thumb. Tery just basically fell over as I brushed past her, her handle bars may be a little bent. We both rode home. Thanks to Dax and Kevin for making sure we were all right and escorting us home [thumbsup]
We live to ride again!
Sorry to hear :-\
Glad you are OK [thumbsup]
Is Tery your wife?
You low sided on the right side and went down in grass? Did you cross the oncoming lane and go off road?
Man, that sucks.....
Always good when you can get back on and ride to safety - glad y'all are okay [thumbsup]

We are home....at least I am. Surely Kevin will post shortly.
I'm very thankful everyone was ok especially on 455 with high traffic. FYI to all......do NOT take 121 from Tioga, it's really torn and there is gravel patches everywhere.
All ends well when you can ride home and no bruises! [drink]
Hopefully you didn't miss an opportunity to eat at Clark's Outpost/BBQ in Tioga. Major mistake if you didn't! :P Outstanding BBQ! If you liked Hard8 Clark's is easily twice as good! [bacon] [bow_down] [clap]
