Title: New Ducati Owner in Seattle, WA
Post by: Goat_Herder on November 09, 2008, 12:02:02 PM
Greetings,

My name is Tony in the Seattle area.  I am a proud owner of a 2003 Monster 620.  Over the summer, I convinced my wife and started looking at motorcycles.  But nothing really spoke to me and got me excited... until I saw a red Ducati Monster at a shop on consignment.  It was love at first sight!  Right away, I knew Ducati Monster is THE bike for me.  After 2 months of searching, finally found a 2003 Monster 620 with low mileage.  Have been loving every moment since. ;D

Welcome! There's a local NorthWest club that has a couple of Seattle members as well as many Portland members.

Yes, I am already registered at that forum.  The guy whom I bought the bike from is a member of the forum and he turned me to it.  Both forums are great and full of information.  I am drinking it up!

I have some pictures but I don't really know how to post pics on the forum just yet.  It's stock without any modification.  I have since added a later version of the mirrors on it (instead of the round mirror).  In the process of saving up for a set of exhaust, pending wife's approval  :P  Any suggestion on that?  I know Termignonis are high on everyone's list but they are oh so spendy.  Are there any other comparables?

Thanks

Here's info on posting photos (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=109.0), feel free to PM me if you need more help. :)

There's lots of opinions on exhausts in Accessories & Mods (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=5.0).

Here's a couple of threads, I know there are more, or feel free to start your own.

The Termis are especially popular because they are available packaged together with a new air filter / airbox and performance ECU for some models.   I reviewed the kit for my 695 here (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=1819.0).  Not sure what is available for 620s.

Good luck!

Thanks for the information.  I will read into those threads and search the forum.

Below are a few of pics I took a few weeks ago.  Enjoy.

Beautiful. Love the color- if they made the 696 in yellow, I would have gone that way  [thumbsup]
