It's the Green route from the DFW Scenic Day Trips map that a lot of shops carry. 121 miles.
"This trip showcases FM-917, a great local secret with plenty of turns, especially the last 13 miles before Mansfield. You'll then head south through small towns and past the most famous truck stop in Texas. Then it's back North along lightly traveled roads and highways that time forgot."
Sorry for the last minute; I'm spontaneous like that. Planning's never been my strong suit. [cheeky]
Give me a txt or call if you can make it.

Sounds really good. I was through that area yesterday. Old buddy came over on his dirtbike looking Yamaha single. Rode around my place, Waxahachie, and over to Venus. Swung by AMS - A to check out the museum and whatever other goodies they happened to have. Lots of new faces in there, but all very nice.
We're going to grab some lunch in the OC in a bit, and maybe grab a beer afterwards, if anybody wants to meet up somewhere later.

At the Dub for a bit
i live down here ride those roads all the time. 157, 66, 917, 916, 1807, and 875 all great roads with very little sunday traffic. i usually ride the loop. pull out of my driveway run down to 875 west to 157 south to 916 west to 81 south to 66 east to 157 north to 875 east to home. nice short ride [moto]
Great ride! Thanks for the suggestion Will - and it was cool to see the new bike in person!!! Great to see Dan again. The R1 was fun - runs really well, fast, handles corners - and I could actually hear Dan's termis - that was cool. Your bike sounds awesome dude! [thumbsup] [moto]
Back home. Ran into Svoloch and Peter at Dubliner (shocking, I know). Had Stef on the RR. First time in many years. She never was too fired up about riding the 1098. Need to break her back in gradually...
That was fun guys, thanks Will, T&B. I hit a new high of 120mph, and I was following. [thumbsup]
Gonna ride these roads again for sure.
I'm back home and totally spent. My training ride this morning and 300~ miles on the K-bike took a lot out of me. It was a nice surprise that y'all were able to make it considering the last minute call to action. Thanks T&B for the hospitality and sorry about the welts Tommy. Your place is bookmarked in my gps now so I know where to go when the next "evening 'o shenanigans" takes place.

Glad you made it home! [thumbsup] You are welcome over here anytime - hopefully next time we ride we'll have more daylight and can hit some of those awesome roads with the tight corners! [moto] BTW - Tommy is still complaining about the welts! [laugh]

It make the beast with two backsing hurt!
OK, I was traveling about 120-130 mph and Wiwa was doing the same. All of the sudden there is gravel being thrown from Wiwa's rear tire and I absorb their impact. Gravel being kicked backwards at over 100mph and me going over 100mph towards it = holy shit that hurts. [cheeky]
We had this happen in THC as well. Just look at Scott's headlight [evil] I had whelps and bruises from Jesus and Ronr!
