Title: New Bikes
Post by: island_duc on November 09, 2008, 04:34:31 PM
Okay, I hope this isn't one of those "Ducati is going to make a motard" posts, but have you guys seen the new bikes?  I was bored the other night a logged into the ducati website for the first time in a long while.  I saw the two new monsters, the two new 1198's and finally the Troy Bayliss LE.  I'd love to have that last one.  Wonder how much that's gonna cost?  Isn't the 1098R already like $50,000?

Yes!  I bet it will take a lot of business away from the Monster line.

Nah.  The Streetfighter is just the new S4Rs, that's all. I betcha, if anything, it'll pull from the Superbike sales but won't hurt the Monsters at all.  Didja notice that there are no more Multistradas, or Sport Classics, or Sports?

The multi-noodle is still there, and even comes in white this year.  And the sport classic line is still there as well, but with only the GT and the Sport1000S on offer.

Yeah, I realized that this morning when I was trying to explain the changes to my wife.  I guess all the monsters now will be air cooled and the Streetfighter will be the 4-valve naked bike.  Can't wait to see it.

So right you are.  I was stuck on the New Model introduction page. How could I forget the Hypermotards too?  [bang]
