During the interview they show a 1098 that they strip off whatever they can use to make choppers, powerplant brakes forks wheels etc.
I am usually a fan of just about anything on 2 wheels but this one i dont know, dem bastages ruin a 1098.
Water cooled engine with no radiator? Smart...
I seen these at LS. They looked nice if you are into that chopper look

I think it's cool. It has a radiator. Look harder.
Lou
In the write-up they mention a Buell Sport chopper .... ain't that just a Harley?? ???
Would you call those trellis frames?

I'll take the one in the very back.
the dude in the shorts? [roll] ;D
seriously, im not a big fan of the choppers, but dont say that they didnt incorporate that engine well. They really made it flow nicely. You can hate the artistic approach of it. but dont hate the engineering of it!

The hyper in the top right corner or the red one on the left, next to the dude in the shorts.

I should have expected that. [laugh]
Either of the two hypers.

The exhaust pipe on the one in the foreground looks a lot like the one on the Street Fighter
^^^ 1098 can
[roll]
I dunno. I like it. 13 choppers makes some cool stuff.
if I had the cash I'd get one.
Andy
I saw a bunch of the 13 choppers bikes at Laguna this year too, they also had ridden their bikes and were hanging out in downtown Monterey at night to get some exposure. Definitely drew a crowd. They look pretty cool in person, if you're into choppers. I did like the 2V choppers they did though, but i love the look of that motor. I think one of them was from an old 900ss.

You beat me to it.

While I appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship needed to come up with those bikes, I'm just burned out on choppers at the moment.
A Ducati Chopper?
THE HORROR ! ! !
THE HORROR ! ! !
That's a really good looking frame design, they've come a long way in the last 5 years or so. I don't think I'll ever get used to a water cooled motor in a naked frame.
Hey the dude (Matt) who builds them is a cool cat. Lot's of ingenuity goes into those bikes. He rolled up on me the other day with the purple one in the back.

I actually sorta dig the one in the foreground. Lots of neat detail. I don't care for the paint scheme, that luggage rack thing, or that french curvy frilly bit of nonsense under the engine, but the rest is pretty damned cool. Otherwise pull the rear wheel in a little closer to the seat and paint it basic black. 8)
Why not just go all the way and power one with this... :-\

All negative comments would cease if someone threw you the keys and you took it for a spin! [cheeky]
well, that is until you took some nice corners.
It's actually cool looking! i would get that as a second bike.
Defiled, adulterated, sullied, besmirched, profaned, and sacrilegious are a few of the words that come to mind. :'(

Now there's an idea.
I've ridden with those guys and all I know is I couln't keep up with Matt. I know, I know that's doesn't say much about my own abilities. Also, I don't think they've parted out a 1098 yet. I believe the watercooled ones are 996s or sum such.

Any particular reason?
Most people say the exact same thing about your bike, fyi (not you personally, just the 696 in general).

This isn't even just exogamyâ€"these bikes are the bastard children of an Italian
rape victim.
great craftsmanship, aside from that.... [puke]

Not my cup of tea, but different flavors for different riders, no? Particularly when custom comes to mind. Don't like it, don't buy it. Meanwhile, 13 choppers has been around for quite a few years.

friend of mine's building a XB-12 based custom... sure, it's technically a harley, but he's using the buell motor, forks, wheels, brakes on a custom frame.
