Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a decent painter in NYC? A buddy of mine has an R6 and wants to get the tank/front fender repainted black. Also, any ideas on rates would help too.
Thanks!

Post up if you do find one with price... [thumbsup]
You can speak to Steve Nunez at this shop:

Don't be fooled by the bikes on the page, Steve can and will do more subdued and even conservative work or paint it like the factory did. This summer Steve was riding a very tasty Ducati superbike. I have no idea of price, but good work is never cheap and materials have gone up in price. Tell him Howie from Desmo sent you.
The fairings on my Ninja are hammered and cracked all over the place. I wanted to paint the parts flat black anyway but is there a way to repair them or would I need to replace them?
Hey Howie,
thanks for the info [thumbsup], I'll pass it on.

Anyway, steve@stevenunez.com is his email
I'm wanting to paint my fairings and have the bike in pieces anyway as I'm doing some other stuff. I just need a coat of flat black on everything including the tank.
If you're not planning on rattle can, then maybe these guys. They're not NYC, but they are upstate NY. I have no FHE though, but they look capable and have been around for a few years.

Hey thanks Terry... these guys just gave me a great quote for my CBR.
I should be sending my fairings out next week. [thumbsup]
I started workin at Vespa SoHo a few months back and was pleasantly surprised to discover we actually have a very good body shop. I say surprised b/c I've been working in the bike industry for some time now, and never really came across a body shop I could recommend (my 749 has been down once or twice ;D)
I started repairing a crashed 998 for a friend earlier this winter and gave our body shop the rashed up fairings. Our body shop repaired and sprayed them, and they came out like new. We generally only repair scooters, but if anyone's interested feel free to send me a PM or give me a shout - parts@vespasoho.com
I'd gladly post up prices, but we can't really quote anything until we see the bike.
