Last weekend I had a small mishap where I lowesided and broke off the brake pedal, I did not want to spend the $$ to get a new rearset so here was my solution:
1. Grind the area smooth where the original pedal was.
2. Drill a 5/16 hole through the middle
It will look like this:

From here the options are pretty limitless since now you can bolt pretty much anything you want to the brake arm.
Here is my first iteration:

It was built from a 3" 5/16 bolt, a stack of 1/4" washers and an acrylic spacer on each end
works great and cost me about $3.00 and I can change it up anytime.
nice! that broke off pretty cleanly. I did the same for the other side (except you have to have you foot underneath it) so i took a coaster and sewed it into a sock and slipped it over the screw. might be a good idea on this too since the aluminum develops this white powder from oxidizing after a little while.

nice, just make sure there are no stress fractures on the rest of the setup from the lowside.
Yeah, I went over it with a fine tooth comb and it wasn't even scratched (probably due to the soft grass and dirt I slid on) Actually the whole bike was remarkably unscathed. I detailed it on Friday and went over every inch; the only major scratches were on the clutch cover and 1 very fine scratch on the lower exhaust can that is not even that noticeable. I replaced the dammaged bar end mirror with a spare I had and ordered the throttle cable cover so it's lookin' good [thumbsup] I think I will take your advice and run her up to Metric tech and have the alignment looked at and that should be it.
