Hey all,
I'm getting ready to remove the swingarm on my S2R1K to have it powdercoated black and I am curious about removing the pivot. I know that the pivot goes through the engine case and rides in needle bearings on each side. My question is, is the pivot pressed in or will it just slide out once both of the rearsets and the snap rings are removed.

There is a cotter arrangement on the left side that clamps the swing arm tho the pivot shaft.

I did find that thread but I couldn't find the cotter arrandment you mentioned. I even looked at the parts catalog and couldn't find it there either.
Where exactly is it located?
In the first pic of the thread, the 'cotter' is on the right hand side, its hidden under the plastic chain guide. Just remember : Take of the nut and drive the pin up from the bottom.
