I wish I could have gone but I was busy racking up kitchen points like I hit the jackpot on a slot machine. Jim helped! [thumbsup]
Saturday went to a wedding. [puke] Had to wear a coat and tie. [puke] [puke] Grumbled all night long but said it was OK when asked. ;D (That's got to be worth eleventy billion points right there. I'm talking inflation proof points.)
Sunday went shopping with the wifey in Dallas. Got some warm stuff. While there she says she wants to go someplace but doesn't know where it is. I call up Jim on my cell phone and he googles the place with address and directions while I am on the move. My personal concierge! The wife is impressed that I have such good friends. Cha-ching more kitchen points!!!

You know though.... I have all these points but nowhere to use them. I missed so much this weekend. >:(
Man, I have got to bring this up with management. My points should be worth more if I tell her how much I missed. Yeah, that's the ticket. Renegotiate! Dum da dum dum dum.

Yep, it's like having a checkbook with a 6 figure balance on a deserted island. :P

Glad I was in the right place at the right time to be able to help Charles! [thumbsup] Make sure you use some of those KP's on this Thursday night's Westie dinner.
Red,
Cool pics! Thanks for posting. Looks like a fun, event-filled day!!
[thumbsup] Cool pix Red - I saw Jim outside AMS as I drove by on Sat afternoon taking my Mom to an early family Thanksgiving out west ! [puke] Is it possible to earn heavenly kitchen points - 'cause that's all I got giving up the weekend's moto activities !! I probably burned a few earthly KP by dragging Cyette to this family fiasco Mom wanted so desperately to attend. [bang]
Anyway I have to go by AMS sometime when the dust settles and test that Hyper !! Thanks for sharing pix Red !
I was busy clicking that is for sure. Not everyone liked it I think they thought I was the papparazzi or something. I was having fun though. Although no 'Britney moments' occured I was in observance of everything around me. I enjoyed the whole evening. Mr. & Mrs. Muskrat are a delight to be around. No attitudes and love to laugh, what more can you ask for?
Didn't really like the show all that much because of all the HD centered stuff (not that there is anything wrong with that) but I can see that stuff in a showroom. I was looking for something else I suppose and I don't know what it would have been. Anyway I too like others thought the Aprillia 125 was way cool. The owner said they have 10 of em in the boxes at the dealership to which I said that if he sells all of em CMRA should create a class for them alone ! That and the Ninja 250 were high on my interest list. Although the 'best of show' had to go to the Johnny Pag choppers from Cali. Their 300cc chopper made so much sense. What more do you need to look good putting down a 40 mph blvd. than that. Surely you won't need another 100 hp to cruise! It puts out 23.5 bhp and gets 65 mpg with a top speed of 75. All the chrome you'd expect and chopper frame with all the paint for under $4k !!
Best part of the night came when talking w/ Jeff Brooks (regional director of sales Ducati N. A.) about the concept of which I alluded to in the Motopia thread to which I won't get into here. He wants to hear more!
I'll find the pics of the 300cc chopper and post in a little later.
Found it...

I talked to Jeff Brooks for a good while too that night. He's the man responsible for my Ducati addiction. He sold me my 2005 M620 when he was the GM of the Ducati Austin shop on N Lamar St. It was great to catch up with him and talk shop about different Ducatis.
Glad you to meet Jeff as well that night [thumbsup]

Very Cool! He's impressed with our group up here he said. He always wondered how come we do so well and the groups in Austin didn't get as passionate about stuff the way we do. I just shrugged and said it didn't seem to be an issue here as far as I could see. I told him our group of peeps were friendly and commited and love to party. I think he was ready to move up here at that point. But, yeah, he's a really great guy to talk to. You are so right it is such an addiction. In fact I need treatment gotta go. ;D

Well, it couldn't be called a Flash Mob Lunch until tomorrow right?
Oh hell, FLASH MOB CAJUN LUNCH-Wednesday at The Alligator Cafe on Live Oak (see website for directions)
I'll be there by 11:40am. I've never been here but it was voted best Cajun Restaurant in the Dallas Observer's 'Best Of 2008' issue so I suppose it might have merit.
