We now support embedded video. It will make it much easier for people to see what you've found on the web.
It's automagic...just paste the link and the forum software takes care of the rest...no tags required.
One thing.
DO NOT set your vid to auto play. It will get you suspended the first time...banned for life the second.
We did this because of member requests.
Enjoy
A couple reasons for the stiff penalities for autoplay...
1 - it could cause unintentional NSFW (not safe for work) events for the reader
2 - for those of us still on dial up (assuming there someone besides speeddog [roll] ;D ) It can kill opening a thread.
The penalties are standard with other forums with this functionality though [thumbsup]

I like the embed feature, I just copied and pasted a youtube link and to my surprise, it wasn't a link I had posted, but rather the embedded video. Very nice! Now everyone can enjoy Sensitive Rambo!

Sooooo...Is there something special we have to do to prevent autoplay from happening??? I'm kinda stoopid that way. [bang]

No.
I'm told you have to work hard to make it happen.
That's one of the reasons for the stiff penalty.
So, erm.. this, "autoplay"...
How do we make it happen to the "other" forum? :D
*Thinking of The Fifth Element "Austowash" scene
[evil]
Z...
How do you post links without actually embedding the video?
you could just use TinyURL
alex is here... same jedi pimp as dml... and yes ive been gone forever. im back.
Ummm, I've just noticed a few vids are set to auto-play and it's making my interwebs damn slow.
I think they were on the 2nd bikes of the DMF thread.
It's making me angry. :)

I can't find any auto play in the 2nd bikes of the dmf thread ??? there are a couple embedded, but they don't auto play - but that thread will be slow anyways, with all the high res pics in it.

I don't blame you
Nothing I could find in that thread.
For the record, I'm told it's a fair amount of work to make them auto play...
who wants to be suspended that bad? ;D
mitt beat me to it...
OK, must be my damn slow work PC.
Thanks for lookin.

I like the embed feature.
Where the heck is the 'embed'? I can't make it out here..... is it a particular icon?
You just copy and paste the link as in
[ url ] YOUTUBE URL [ /url ]
without the spaces, and it embeds itself.
;)
