Not as bad as it sounds. One of the lads speared off into the scrub some 20Km south of Half Way House.
Did 200m or so parallel to the road and then flipped the bike in a wombat hole and felled a couple of small trees.
Front of the bike looks pretty ordinary, rider is OK except for a bruised shoulder & ego.
We dinked him up to half way and headed back for a van to pick up the bits :(
On a positive note, the milk shake at the 1/2 way was nice :)

ps, be carefull out there guys, riding within your limits... and any time wombat and a vehicle are involved its never great. :P
Glad to hear your mate was alright. Managing to run parallel offroad on Putty for 200m could have turned out a whole lot worse in the scheme of things.
Glad to hear he's OK...
Here's what happens when you get it _properly_ wrong up there:

Either he has mad skillz or he was going real quick!
Ride safe everyone! FFS! [bang] [bang] [bang]
That sounds scary, traveling along the side of the road like that.
I have a bit of a new sense of mortality following my recent spat with a car.
When its all rider error that make it sound even worse!
Pleased to here he's OK though
