Hi all,
I've been watching this forum for the last month or so as I shopped for and finalized the deal on a new 696. I took the MSF class about a month ago and did really well. I COULDN'T wait for the spring. So yesterday I rode my new bike home on hard new tires under gray skies. Made it home just before the snow started. I was amazed at just how comfortable and easy to ride this bike is. I hope it's just as fun. This was my first time riding a motorcycle besides MSF.
Any weekend morning I can this winter, I plan on riding. I'm also looking to get involved in the local rides and groups.
Really glad to be a part of the Ducati community and looking forward to meeting a lot of you.

Welcome to the board, and to the addiction. [beer]
congrats [thumbsup]
you'll love it!
Welcome. This place is a great resource; hope you enjoy it.
Sorry you chose white as the red 696's have been proven to be faster in a double blind placebo controlled trial ;D
Welcome John, and congrats on your 696. :)
Feel free to post pictures of your new bike if you have any.
Have fun and ride safe! [thumbsup]
Welcome! I'm sure you're going to love your 696 as much as I do. I didn't do really well at MSF, but enough to pass so that's something, right? ??? Plus, I read most of Proficient Motorcycling.
Ride safe and enjoy!

Will do, thanks.
Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. It was very windy here in the tri-state area, so I had to take the cage down to the Jersey shore for a family event. Otherwise, I would have tried to take the bike.
Any day over 45 degreesm and I'll be out on the bike going nowhere in particular.
