if anyone has storing issues like I do in the garage here's a solution. Drop-Tail Trailers & Accessories is a company I found at the Cycle show and liked their product. Compared to the rest they are very inexpensive and the stuff is heavy guage. Clay is the sales guy and he's in Bedford/Euless. I got the drive-on dolly and it's nice to roll around without taking cars/trucks out of the garage to go riding.

Sounds like a great product. The company looks like a local one but they don't have an address or a local showroom. I'd like to see one but don't have a way to contact them. Do you have any more info on the company?

That website is not very useful. How easy is it to use? How much space does it take up?

It looks like it would take up just a bit more room than the Kendon.
The 2-up Cruiser/Sport is $2,500., so a bit more than the Kendon as well.
I couldn't find the weight of the trailer either. The Kendon's about 400 pounds.
I though it might be comparable to the Kendon. If/when I do get a trailer I'll probably go that route, based off of recommendations from current Kendon owners.
But please let us know how well the Drop-tail trailers/accessories work.

yes I agree it's not a great website which is why I went down there while in Fort Worth. Clay did say they are working on the website and should have it finished. If you want pictures of how the stand looks and works pm me and I will forward to your email addy.

I have looked and looked and looked....for the price, IMO, there is no better option. The stand hardware, caster wheels, easy of use and roll feature are top rate. Took me all of 15 minutes to put it together but you will need two metric wrenches size 19 (FYI). The trailer looks a lot heftier and better built than Kendon's also. You'll have to see it with your own eyes but if I was in the "looking" stage I would jump on the trailer. And no I'm not a commissioned sales person either, just my opinion.

pm me and I'll forward Clay's info to you if interested. it's a little more money but I think well worth it. I'm not at all comfortable towing something that doesn't sit on the ground well over bumps and such.
I've now seen both the Kendon and the Droptail trailers and my first impression is that the droptail is as good if not better in quality and workmanship as the Kendon. It is not poorly made by any means. The hydraulics that allow you to drop the tail is a great idea. It has a torsion suspension so it can compensate for different weights of the two bikes. You can quickly remove and reposition the wheel chocks if you want to carry a single bike in the center. The more expensive version has a diamond plate deck while the version with an expended metal deck is about $400 cheaper. The trailer needs about 8 feet clearance height wise and about 90 inches in width, maybe 36 inches in depth
Also, the tie downs that they have for sale are top notch, better than any I've seen. I am seriously considering buying the cycle dolly which you can get with a side stand extension or with a wheel chock which is the same wheel chock they use in the trailer. It was well worth the trip to the showroom which is just west of 157 in Euless.

Bryant, I am assuming you've seen a Kendon up close and personal. If that's the case then it will be well worth a visit to the shop where they have these on display to form your own opinion. The shop is actually not too far from Dallas. I'm aware that you don't necessarily need one given that you have a truck but when you visit the place you will also see the cycle dolly and tie downs which you might decide you need when you see them. ;D
I like their floor stand cycle chocks, pretty good price too [thumbsup] I'll have to look into getting a couple of those for the garage when i can free up some cash! Maybe one of the DFW folks can house it and deliver it the next hill country trip or something [cheeky]

I can attest they are great. Now I'm going to get a third to put my big cruiser on and transfer my "old" wheel chalks to the trailer.
Call and ask for Clay, I'm sure he can work some shipping gimmick for you.
