Title: A LOT of Holiday Cheer Party - Saturday Night Live
Post by: RED on December 08, 2008, 11:57:05 AM
I'm not regularly a PC kind of guy. But in the interest of the whole of our online forum community I'm going to be so in this post.

We will be hosting a 'Holiday Party' this Saturday night the 13th of December 2008. So, Slag and Slagette, you two can come and enjoy without having to do anything but relax! What a concept huh? I am going to be cranking up the smokers to provide the group on hand some of my internationally famous BBQ brisket, ribs, sausages, potato salad, pinto beans and all the fixins. Please, hold the applause...for now at least. Redette will no doubt be serving another Rum Cake to sweeten your pots.

Please if you will, those who do not ride over (unless your like Dukie Duke and can strap bundles on top the tank), to bring a side dish or horse doovers and something you can imbibe (BYOB) with. For our vegan friends I will also be putting together a medley of marinated smoked veggies served on some crackling pita bread.

There is plenty of off-street flat surface parking in the rear of the manner on the paddock for Ducatis and out front for cagers.

We'll have a fire on in the fireplace as well as one by the pool to warm your cockles and melt the holiday blues away. Since I do not have a monster screen HDTV with Guitar Hero anymore there will be musical entertainment and old fashioned conversation pits to entertain. Yes, social interaction with actual people who are not playing electronic games or texting people on the forum will have to do for this one if that's OK. That's not to say that those who wish can bring their laptops and connect into the FO high speed DSL.

So, if this is something that floats your water wings PM me with an RSVP and I will provide you with the addy and phone numbers. This will also suffice for an attendees list which unless otherwise noted will be posted here in this thread.

Let the Holiday Season ring (cue the music) and we'll hope to see those who can make it over Saturday night !!

Not sure that I want to go to one of "these types" of parties.
(not that there's anything wrong with those who do...)

So, I guess Andi has put her foot down and figured you'd be safer at home hosting this party than running around with us.   ;D   How does it go know, "keep your friends close and the hooligans closer?"

Well, having been one those 'Hooligans' for the better part of my life I'd have to say that the Hooligans I run with are a hell of lot better to have close by than most any of my friends or family !!   [laugh]  [laugh]

Yes, L' please do come over AFTER your party ! By all means please come and bring many friends of yours as well. Tis the season for making merry!

Nothing negatively recieved either. See you at the WareHome soon I hope. Saturday at RED's is going to be a cooking day for me in preperation for hopefully lots of hungry Ducatisti. But I will no doubt be over for a photo session before long.

Red, weather looks good - low of 61 [moto] for sure!

Special event here at store, but I'll get out anyway by 8:00.

I'll bring some side dish, don't know yet, and cigars too :)

I am so up for this, finally the brisket I have been waiting for BTW the smoked turkey was delisioso! [thumbsup]

Friday bump

Big Friday  Bump is right...

Okay as it stands now the list is growing nicely, TL yes, please brings sides/dessert/mixers/drinks/booze/booze or anything else you wish. I am furnishing the brisket, ribs, sausages, pinto beans, texas toast etc... so that leaves all the above for the creative Ducatisti minds.

I've got some killer music programed. We have movies for the kids an or Christmas programs on Sattelite. If anyone has any Moto GP races or AMA or WSBK races on DVD paaleeez bring em and I'll see if I can put em up on the small screen... :'( :P, unless I find a deal on a new HDTV tomorrow I can't resist.

Sleeping facilities are in house too if needed. We have lots of horizontal parade rest spots for those who need it. The house will under somewhat of a remodel mode since I need to do some work around to secure the premises against future vandalous thug home attackers.

Andi and I are looking forward to partiing with you all. We're excited to get to know you all more for longer than a dinner I hope. Thanks ahead to everyone and let's get this party started...(que the music)

[thumbsup]

How can I recap this? Forgetaboutit!!! I had such a great time cooking for you all. It's a lot of fun for me to do this. Not that I can I just like to is all. What better reason to have a party than to eat, drink during the season. It was great meeting Marc and Traci and now I know the story of the BelleDiva!! How cool is that! Great meeting Stephanie. Please come back and partay more with us. You make Scott look so much better. I'm just saying...

Too much fun ya'll. We'll do it again in the spring summer timeframe for a pool party.

Nice to meet Red and the wife!  Great party and great food!  [thumbsup]

We'll do it again in a few months. Glad you guys took the time to come by and Andi loves the company as well. Thanks again to everyone.
