Dudes and Dudettes - I'm having a problem with the clutch and leaking fluid and am not sure what the problem is.  Please see the above thread I created in the tech section.  Thanks.

Sounds like the slave seal went bad.  I have a spare slave if you need from my M620.

I am guessing the clutch slave cylinder is leaking  and it is dripping into the countersprocket area.  Remove the front sprocket cover and look around there to see if there is a leak there.  If it is the clutch slave cylinder, some of them can be rebuilt if the cylinder is not scored (inside where the piston resides) or may need to be replaced if it cannot be rebuilt.

my .02 cents.

Thanks for the replies.  I'll get that checked out as soon as I can get the bike towed home...if the towing co. ever shows up.  2 hours now...

Clutch slave was shot.  Bryant was nice enough to give me his clutch slave from his Monster.  Used that and had to purchase a new clutch piston and is now hooked up.  Now I see what the clutch is supposed to feel like.  I can tell now that the previous aftermarket one on there was falling apart.

Thanks Bryant!

Amazing!  Bryant's Monster's parts live on in many Ducs in the metroplex.   [thumbsup]
It's the little Monster that could and did, even after its untimely demise.  [clap]
I have his kickstand which unfortunately got bent in the IMS incident but served me well.

Thanks Bryant!

Todd, I'm glad to hear that your bike is back up and running again.

cdc, I'm glad my M620 is still keeping other bikes running [thumbsup]
