I hate to lose all my old posts, so I might still keep the account mildly active at TOB but I really like this board. I was just on TOB and I feel like I have a headache from the frigging Vegas Strip of ads flashing on the left...
Anyways, good work on this! [drink]
You can say that again. I haven't been on TOB since I got set up over here and to be completely honest, can't really think of many reasons to go back. Well, other than to stir up trouble that is. ;)
you know,... if someone had switched my account for me, and not told me.. it would have taken a while for me to realize that this was not TOB that i was so comfortable with.
I know. Pretty seamless transition really, but I am sure that is what they were going for...
I just tried to login on the old board and couldn't do it. Seems like I've been blocked or deleted. WTF? Now I have even more reason to like this one. Good job everyone! And yes, this is far more pleasing to the senses.

Not really. There are certain rules for user interfaces (UI's). If you follow those, you come up with a certain style of board.
The member who designed the UI for the DML is not an amature - he does it for a living, and knew what people like.
Well, we who designed the dmf, tried to implement his ideas here. We are only 50% as pretty as the dml was, but we will get there.
So, it isn't that we wanted to copy the DML because it was the DML, we wanted a UI that was as nice as the DML pre VS was. Another site we took some ideas from, and hopefully will take more is advrider.com. It and the pre vs dml are probably the nicest moto forum UI's on the net.
