hey guys (i mean that in the gender-neutral sense, so don't be offended, ladies) -
my name is john, i live in LA. i've wanted a bike since i was about 5 years old, and now that i'm in my 30s, and married with a kid, it seemed like the sensible thing to do. sold my car and bought a bike over the summer and have been commuting to work daily for the last 3-4 months. i ride a 2003 M620 and i absolutely love it! i ride pretty conservatively - no freeways (and yes i know city riding can be just as, if not more, dangerous), no rain riding (fortunately not much of an issue here in So-Cal), bought the best gear i could find (cycleport - not cheap, but worth every penny - highly recommend), and try not to do anything stupid (only split lanes in stopped traffic, stay ultra-vigilant, etc.).
anyway, i'm psyched to be here and to be part of such a cool community. i've learned a ton on this website already. thanks for the info!
Welcome, I envy you that CA riding weather. Ride safe - can't have too much training.
Welcome John, glad to hear the bike is working out so well for you. [thumbsup] [moto]
