Title: clutch springs help!!!
Post by: iribarren on December 11, 2008, 09:34:08 AM
As other members I turned my 620 into a 750cc Monster using Ferracci pistons, 750 cylinders, PC III, SIL pipes and other stuff.

The bike has APTC

The problem begins with the clutch. The plates and springs are OK but slips at 6000 rpm in 5Th o 6Th gear.

I've read that a solution could be a stronger springs.

I've also read in some topics that  s2r 800 springs are harder than the 620...but...when I check the Ducati OEM part catalog I can see that both bikes use the same clutch springs. ??? ???

The OEM number is 797.1.022.1A

So...ideas?

thanks

miguel

Read post on oil for wet clutches, some have friction modifiers that can effect wet clutch performce. Resolve that possibility before you tear into in.
