Do you wear your wrist-watch while riding?
I have avoided this so for because I'm terrified of falling palms first on the ground and watch lodging itself in my hand (witch has happened to me before). Also, moto-jackets can be pretty tight around wrists making it uncomfortable.
I'm considering a new watch that can be useful on rides... http://www.suunto.com/suunto/Worlds/outdoor/main/Product.jsp?CONTENT%3C%3Ecnt_id=10134198673986053&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302758066&bmUID=1229268838124 (http://www.suunto.com/suunto/Worlds/outdoor/main/Product.jsp?CONTENT%3C%3Ecnt_id=10134198673986053&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302758066&bmUID=1229268838124)
Cheers.
I wear mine, but if you are concerned, why not put your watch in your pocket and just use the clock on the bike?
I never liked the feel of a watch on my wrist and my bike doesn't have a clock so what'd I do? I bought a cheapo dashboard clock from autozone and slapped it in the middle of my tac (which broke [roll]). ;D When I'm not on the bike I always use my phone as a clock.
that's the only time I wear my watch.
it keeps me safe.

Landing palms first hard enough to lodge the watch into your hand will probably lso be falling hard enough that you'd break a wrist. In which case, it's sort of moot, isn't it?
I take my watch off and put it in a pocket while riding... [moto]
No particular fear of danger or damage, the wrists of my jacket are tight and I wear gauntlet style gloves.
After I take the jacket off, the watch goes back on...
I put mine in my left jacket pocket. It's just not comfortable wearing it with the gloves and all.
I wear mine with jacket and gloves (with gauntlets). Just do whatever's comfortable.
I have a Breitling Superocean that I wear all the time, I hardly ever look at it though when riding.
I use the clock on the 696

[laugh] I think if I crashed, the watch would fair better than I would. It's pretty much bomb-pruf.
I don't wear it. My jacket it too tight on my wrists if I have a watch on. It's painful to wear it.
Along those lines, when I'm at the track, I take my wedding ring off too. I don't want to jam a finger (like I've done a coupla times) and then have them cut the thing off. My wife gave me a leather necklace so I can wear it around my neck. Or it hangs out in my tools kit. She isn't happy about me being at the track without my wedding ring on, but it makes it hard to pick up chicks when I'm wearing it all the time.

My bike has a clock? :o :o
^^^ [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]
I used to keep my watch in my left pocket with my cell phone.
I still haven't replaced the watch band that got messed up in my crash. (May)
I just got used to using the cell phone, which survived the crash, as a clock.
I think its about time to replace that watch band.
Personally, I have evolved to the point where I no longer need clocks of any kind ;)
YMMV
Watch, cell, and bike but still cant make it on time! :P

Back to your thighmaster, Furley ;D ;D :-*
I do, only because I always wear it. I usually only take off my jewelry (I wear a watch, bracelet, and a ring on each hand, all made of Ti) when I am working out....
I don't wear my wrist watch when I ride.
I rely on my Cell Phone or the clock on the bike dash. Dolph
I do, but it has a safety clasp, which has worked in a bicycle crash (broke the watch arm's collarbone) and car accident.
But I have one of those slim-profile watches (Festina).
