I wish the Road Racing exhaust was still being produced. This was one of the cleanest Monster exhaust designs ever made. The Ex-box is cool, but this looks less bulky.

Beautiful design, and + 1 much cleaner than the Ex Box
Road Racing stuff is great [thumbsup]
speakin' of bulky, how much d'ya fig that footpeg setup weighs? :o
Word on the street was that they were hella loud and cornering clearance was an issue.

LOL, I think boom tubes have squashed the idea that people don't want a loud exhaust ;)
Road Racing is out of buisness. sorry. :(
I love their stuff too. Heres some pics from when their site was still up..

They sure don't look like they could cause a cornering clearance issue any more than an Ex-box exhaust. Maybe with the suspension compressed it is different. I don't doubt they are loud though. Maybe somebody will take the overall design and make it their own by tightening it up and quieting it down.
I have a pdf of their catalouge

that is confirmed, saw them installed on a monster and sure enough, lean hard enough and they scraped the ground
The Monsters from the Road Racing website (shown above in He Man's post) are the only Monsters I've seen with traditional, non-USD forks. I wonder what the purpose was? Perhaps to look more retro?
Those RR spoked wheels look hot. Duck-Stew is using a pair on his Cafe Racer re-do.

I should have said, "In the top three pictures of Road Racing bikes". But the question remains, why would anyone spend money putting traditional, non-USD forks on their Monster?
I became aware of the Road Racing Exhausts after I had built my first set of BoomTubes. They were available in late 2004 from a dealer in San Diego. Unfortunately there is a ground clearance issue with them. (they wouldn't have work for myself in any configuration) Only thing I really don't like about them is the exit point of the outlets -- left side of the bike. I always considered the left side (alternator cover) being the ugly side of the bike -- especially when parked. The right side (clutch cover) is pretty side and especially when parked on the kickstand.
On occasion, a set of the RoadRacing exhausts appear in the "Parts for Sale" section. They were only applicable to the M900 engine series.
If I remember correctly, the dyno results were poor.

I totally agree. The right side is the bike's good side, especially with regards to the sss Monsters.

+1 they are bad ,know a guy who has such an exhaust and they are not good for power
His bike

that rear tire shield on the yellow bike, what is that called and where do they have them. with the short tail of the 696 having one of those would help with the water spray.

My friend had them.
You have to totally clean of content them to make them work and then they are loud.
His W2 -98 w 39mm FCRs & pods, polished heads w DP cams & HC made 88 RWP, mine made 82 w V2 & 41mm, SS cams & HC on same dyno.
Still find it hard to believe that it made those numbers w those small valve heads, although I sen the chart dozens of times. :o
Some clearing issues, yes.
That chrome bike has its oil cooler mounted underneath its license plate. Never seen that before.
all that chrome and they dont even have a chrome seat cowl to finish it off. wtf!
that oil cooler is kind stupid. How the hell is it suppose to collect any air?
It`s not chrome, polished alu.
And, they did have a natural alu finish seat cowl.

Maybe I misunderstood you?
RR parts were all alu, bike in top pic f sure looks like chrome allover.....

i was refering to that bike above. thats all chrome. looks nice, im a sucker for shiny things though....
