We're riding to the Hill Country. We're going to enjoy adult beverages, eat substantial quantities of delicious nourishment, generally enjoy the camaraderie, and, umm, oh yeah, TAME THE 3 SISTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the kind that explains the details of the trip where when and what the hell are the 3 sisters
FM335, FM336, and FM337. Google Leakey, TX.
Here's an oh-so-convenient linkythingy to the main thread-

thanks, truth be known I've only just started paying attention [coffee]
I am still entirely to broke to pay for anything. Much less attention. [cheeky]

Wake up! Time to ride [thumbsup]
What he said.
Come on Hill Country, REPRESENT!
MurDuc if you are worried about a cabin I think we can squeeze another air matress upstairs. Considering that your brewing use up a batch of suds I'm sure the others in the cabin wouldn't mind covering your cabin expenses. If not I will [thumbsup]
Very cool. 8)
On the fence as far as staying a night or two there but I may come down saturday for the main ride - really need to hit the sisters [thumbsup]
then we'll go ride those 3 roads you all talk about ;D

FYI.
I do have other plans for sleeping quarters. ;)
But it is nice to know the offer is there. [thumbsup]
Especially if the weather gets uncomfortably hot at night. So far though it looks like some good spring camping evenings. :)
Also,
I do have an air mattress that could be brought and loaned out to any unsure stayer provided they can convince someone for some floor space... ;D
Is anyone riding their bike from Screwston?

If you mean Houston, my friend and I will have extra space in the trailer if you'd like a spot
Thanks, but I'm planning on riding there and wanted to see if anyone else is planning to too
Just 3 Houston folks meeting us in the HC?
seems like it :( although ducatibilt hasn't said anything yet...
and I'm meeting you in austin ;)
Come on folks.
Do you have any idea how much beer were going to have to drink if more folks don't make it. :o
Please, people think of our poor livers.
Only you can save them.
Sign up today.
P.S. Did two transfers today. YUMMY stuff.
I think we are going to have some real winners!

Any word on a group from Austin? I'd be up for riding down for Saturday or Sunday and riding back at the end of the day...not sure how this works, I'm new to socializing :P
That might be pushing it. Riding out to the ranch, riding all day and then riding back that evening.
You'll probably be pretty tired and not on top of your game heading back into Austin.
I one dayed it last year, but I trucked the commute portion.
I left long before the butt crack of dawn to get up there in time to head out on the Saturday ride. I didn't get home till midnight.
If you can swing it, I would try to at least stay overnight one night. Either come up the night before and head back the next afternoon after the riding. Or leave early in the morning to get out there, do some riding then chill for the evening spend the night and head back the next morning.
Besides, that'll give you some socializing time. (read drink beer)
If you are free though, hook up with everyone meeting in Austin Thursday night, or Friday morning head out and spend the weekend. I don't know if any of the cabins still have/need another person, but if not I am bringing an extra air mattress you could call dibs on. I am sure someone will offer some floor space.
Don't worry about not knowing anyone.
I am a total introvert. I showed up last year not knowing a single person, and these folks welcomed me right in. [thumbsup]
actually, fire, one of the DFW folks had to drop out suddenly and so his spot in the big cabin is open if you'd like to join us for the weekend
hiero, that sounds good. I'll PM you with my email address so we can talk about the details outside of the thread. I'm thinking a Saturday night stay would be nice because I have a commitment Friday night.
I seriously know nothing about riding in groups so I plan to sit in back and take lots of notes. I was planning to show up with moto, helmet, and beer money.
Damn, I wish I had seen this earlier. I kinda let one of the other DFW guys who's a last minute commit take svoloch's place in the king cabin. But as luck would have it, there is a spot available in Jim's Kamp cabin (BarneePhife) since Alan(littleyellowduc) can't make the trip either now. check out the HC thread on the DFWM
As quick as svoloch bailed out on the trip he's back in for the trip.
I'm not worried about it. I would like to be able to make it but I'm trying to squeeze in a bit myself this weekend too so by all means, if any folks that have been planning this longer want the spot then it's all theirs.
To be honest, riding with a big group kinda scares me a little right now. I just got the Ducati a couple weeks ago. :)
Group rides are fun, just ride your own ride. You can learn a lot following good lines
Don't worry FITH, I will be trailing in the granny group myself.
I mean I can ride, not like some of these folks, but still. It's just I went so long without a bike, and my ride time has been very limited lately. I don't feel comfortable pushing very hard. So I don't.
Though me an hiero did get going fairly balls out on some whoopdie doo's playing catchup last time. [evil]
I'm in it for some nice roads and great folks. [moto] [beer]
Oh, and like I said. If you can finagle floor space I'll bring an air mattress. You have to blow it up though. [cheeky]
chipo and my friend who's trailering with us will have a kamp cabin of their own as well with an extra spot, so no worries, i believe it's only like 35 bucks a night too, so should be fairly cost efficient

Just come on down... The wifey won't miss you for one night. It'll giver her a break! Then when you return, she will have missed you so ;)
There'll be space for you somewhere (you just can't drink my pre-allotted portion of the beer [evil]).
This is gonna be a great trip ;D
The Svoloch & I (from DFW) will be in Austin this Thursday the 29th...

I believe I will be leaving houston around 1 or 2 pm, which should put me in austin around 4 or 5pm, dinner/drinks sounds good
I probably won't be there until 8 or so. My groupo will probably catch some dinner just before we hit austin and meet you guys out for the evening festivities
I'd love to hang in Austin with you guys.
I am off Thurs night but I really can't see leaving the lake before Fri.
Once the beer is loaded up I want to head straight to Koyote.
Drink one, or three, for me.
