CJ pushed me to do this....it's his fault.
Anybody wanna ride Friday or Saturday or both? Hell with Boxing day! Let's ride.
How bout another (short) North Hill Country Ride, or, (longer) the REAL THC ride overnighting somewhere down there and back on Saturday night. Whatever for those who want to ride is going to be fine.

Hey, I'm supposed to be the one to blame others. [evil]
I'd be up for a Saturday (possibly Friday) ride. [moto]
I'll keep an eye on the thread to see what plan develops. [thumbsup]

I can do the day thingy but not overnighter unless Elizabeth goes and she's not ready for this group ride.
...there is rain/thunder/lightening forecasted for Friday...

Later in the day. Might be nice to ride during the day [thumbsup]

Are some folks going with Will?
:P
Here's what NWS shows--we'll have to keep an eye on the weather....:
Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. South wind 10 to 20 mph becoming west. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.
Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 58. Northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
I am in. Will probably take the 696.
If the weather is nice, I'm in. [moto]
Sorry Zach; you have to ride your own bike. ;D

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and maybe a good Christmas ride!
I got a radar detector for Christmas so that trip to Dallas will go *much* faster now!!!!
The 1098 has front brakes again. I still might take the R6 [evil]

You don't need no stinking rear brakes.
Ducati's rear brakes are there to hold the bike at a stop light and on an incline. Kinda like a parking brake. [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

I'm probably out on Saturday, but Sunday weather looks good with 50's and South wind. I will not work Sunday.
BTW, Saturday weather looks good with clearing skies from 9am on, have a great time. [moto]
Hey cdc, the motard light is good and high beam is really good.
Took off clutch cover and am buzzing my boot toe when I brake (yes I use the rear brack all the time - habit). :)

Me too, just kidding about the brakes but they certainly are not strong nor do I think they should be. Could be a very personal thing.

So, will 9:30 at the Starbucks at 377 and 20--kick stands up at 10--work?
lets see what the situation is like at 8:30 AM and decide then. some of the roads we will be on might have mud and or gravel if the rains are strong tonight.
Tomorrow same time can be an alternate date.

watching weather now, big line of storms blowing in right now.
We have blue skies at our house and it is cooler! [thumbsup] [moto]
Do we need to delay the meet time for an hour so the rain will be past Red's house?
I just talked to CDC and he just woke up just like me! I woke up when all the cold air hit me through the window! Woo hoo!
I need to run out to Cycle Gear in Bedford first. Otherwise if the weather holds up then I guess it's a ride.
Maybe a later start would work better too.

The weather will hold up. Pick a time and we are there. The temp should stay around mid 50's until after 5pm. Lets get going as soon as we can.
Why are we not riding? This is what it looks like here...

well, my day wasn't as fun as y'all's but I did manage to get most all my new riding gear and fix that nasty suspension problem at Eurosport this afternoon. So next ride I'll hopefully be able to keep up with CDC on the twisties.

The shady charity beggars at the light on 377 were a trip. When the dude put his hand on my shoulder and said that I needed his blessing, I knew it was time to get the hell out of there... :o

I am going to pass this time, I need a bit of bonding time with the new ride before I bring it out in public. It is going to be the first time that I am home with the bike that the garage temp will be resonable to go through it, check out all of the shock settings and try to figure out the first swag on where to set them. I also want to spend some time on roads I know... [moto] (I hate embarrising myself infront of people that I just met :-[, once I know you all better I will have no problem at all doing just that... ;))
catch up with you all some other time
Well, the problem with my suspension was that the bike was origianally setup for a much smaller guy. His weight and mine are so not the same. It was suggested that I buy a stronger shock in order to be able to set it stiff enough for my weight. So Eurosport set the Ohlins shock to it's highest setting to accomodate my present weight. The result is that I can now come into corners without to much fear of the tail end sliding out from underneath my butt. I am going back into trainiing after my surgery and I will loose another 40 lbs this spring while healing which I need to do to make sure my weight and the bike are a fit for track days. Then again I hope to get a REAL track bike one of these days. Rock Bottom Racing needs to get off the ground shortly.
Is that a good two page Fastwin explaination? [thumbsup]
who loves ya babe. (sorry don't have the Telly pic here).
