A few of us (mainly Dave S., Regular John, Super John, and myself) have talked about going out and grabbing some grub and maybe a few drinks.
It has been a while since we got several of us together. And since the weather is generally a bit shitty this time of year, what better time to meet for some drinks and bullshit?
I'll be out of town until New Year's Eve and I'll probably be busy New Years Day. After that though, my schedule is pretty much wide open for about a week. Any day is good, except for Tuesday when Rameses and I generally go to trivia night at Linda's in Chapel Hill.
If anyone is interested in trivia, we could meet up that night (Tuesday the 6th). Linda's has some decent beer specials and good food.
The weekend following New Years would work for me as well (the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th) , but Rameses and I both generally work those nights (I can schedule off), so I'm not sure a weekend is best.
So post up and let me what you think and what days will work best. Until then, Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.
Sounds good. Tuesdays are booked for me, but I can generally manage most any other night.
I'm in!! ;D [drink] Any night is fine with me.
I am totally in I will be back from snowboarding on the 1st.
d
Wanna plan on a Monday night sometime?
Would the 5th work for everybody?
(And just an aside about trivia... Graham's out of town so there won't be any trivia next week or Tuesday the 6th.)
Monday the 5th is OK for me.
Classes start the 7th :-\
I think I can do the 5th.
I will try to get there. That will be my first day back to work so I will have to see how that goes.
Where are we meeting? What are we drinking? What are we eating? Huh? What, come on, well? ;D

Get your panties unbunched. I don't care where we meet really. I'm thinking about 7 or so. And Kemp's sounds good to me. Haven't been there in a while but suggest something else if that won't work.

Sounds good to me. Kemp's at 7pm on the 5th.
Hold on, I can't type...my panties are all bunched up...
...there, better. ;D
Kemp's at 7pm is fine with me.

So Kemp's it is. At 7 PM on the fizzifth. [thumbsup]
But I don't like Kemp's.
The food's too greasy.
And makes me feel all bloated.
And it makes me gassy.

I thought that was the criteria you had for GOOD food? [laugh]
And, didn't you have a plate the size of a small child full of the ocean's goodness last time?

(Overnight low of 35) + (me being a complete wimp in the cold) + .5(likelihood I'll be coming from work) = .000001% chance I'll be on a bike
I'll prolly ride the Bandit.
If you guys are looking for suggestions there is Wild Wings Cafe they have a pretty good beer selection.
It don't really matter to me I can find something to eat anywhere.

We went there last time. Rameses found their wing weak I believe.

I'll be riding over too.
On my truck's driver's seat.
'Cause it's my firm belief that people like you are insane. ;)

Or retarded. ;D
Like I've always said: I ride for fun and that's it. My nuts hurting from the cold is not fun. Therefore, I don't ride when it is too cold.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm gettin' excited about fillin' my belly with some greasy-ass Calabash style seafood!!
;D

BTW, I like how half of your posts are in the vicinity of 3am! [laugh] At 3am, I'm awakened by the need to get out of bed for the first of my nightly visits to the pisser. [laugh]
I had to make sure I got my stomach ready for the grease. I'm good to go and will be there this evening.
Ken
^how do you get your stomach ready for grease? aww, never mind, I don't want to know.
Is it really that greasy, guys? I've never eaten there before.

Nah, it's not that greasy.
I mean, if you get one of their fried items it's definitely gonna be a little greasy... but not too bad.
It
is some of the best seafood I've ever had though. [thumbsup]
