Those rear sets are superdupersnazzy! [thumbsup]
Did Santa leave any Rizoma gear for the rest of us??? ;D
WOW those rear sets are make the beast with two backsing bling blang!
I like the helmet!! [thumbsup]
Well Lazarus who's been a good boy then [clap] it certainly looks like the [bow_down] rizoma catalogue has been hit hard and don't those fluid pot backets look cool [thumbsup] i guess we will have to wait for the photo's.
BTW went to a classic bike meeting today on the 1100s you would have been in your element [moto]
WOW Laz!!!!!
BTW, where are those BARS GOING???????????? You got another Duc? You had RED bars on Monster I thought??
Gotta post up my mods i FINALLY GOT DONE on Beastie Boy!!!!!!
Tim got me Rizoma bars in RED, rizoma grips and bar ends, Oberon red pegs, frame and axle sliders and FEK from CW! (trying to find thread on the CW FEK someone posted??? )
WOOT! Now, get BUSY!! and post more pix too!
You RIDING YET?? Ozello Sunday, btw, can you go too???!!!!
bars are going on the s4rs....
black rizoma bars, black pazzo levers, black rizoma lux grips, black rizoma reservoirs and risers....
red bars and grips are on her 696, duuh....:P
oh, hows this for getting busy....? :P
new rizoma rearsets installed,
and i cleaned up the rest of the wires while i was at it,
and re-routed the rear brakeline/ wire/ clamps on the shift tech hugger....
bars/ reservoir risers/grips /pressure plate will be done in a week,
dont have a hydraulic press to press out the pressure plate bearing and in the new rizoma one,
nor a drill press to drill the new bars for the controls, my drill press isnt currently convenient...
so that'll all be done next weekend...
guess well just have to ride them for a week...!!!

oh, and no can do on the ride,
doin' the family thing for a while....
but i am back up and riding now, neurologist cleared me and ive
got about 4 rides under my belt since,
so im ready....!!! [thumbsup]
It's looking good [clap] but i'm not seeing a rizoma sprocket cover (part no zdm014b) on the bike yet :-[
you know it's got to be done [thumbsup]
BTW Lazarus i found it better to cut the small nubs off the clamps that hold the levers and throttle on the handle bars and use some thin double sided tape between the bars and clamps as it gives you room to adjust the controls to suit. I've drilled on one bike and tapped on the other and had no problems with the tapped one [thumbsup].
Just a thought on the rizoma grips i found that there was quite alot of free play when i fitted mine on the s4rs so let me know if you have the same problem.
Glad you are back riding again [moto]
You do not need a press to remove the bearing from the pressure plate. A socket and hammer works fine.
Beautiful [thumbsup]
Maybe next Christmas Santa will bring you a new ECU & some pipes so you can get rid of those blue headers & that tumor underneath ;D
Can your Rizoma go much higher or further back than you have them set ??? Also, did they give you more room on your right side peg ??? I know with the stock pegs & exhaust any sporty riding requires strong calfs as you can only get your right toes on the peg [laugh]
thanks pomp, i think ill give that a try tomorrow...;)
gus, ive got them all the way up for cornering clearance, theyll go one bolt hole farther back, but ive got long legs, so.....
im thinking carbon sprocket cover someday.... [thumbsup]
gotta have SOMETHING to do later....

No No, you're supposed to heat it up like that one shop did and ruin the finish on the PP. LOL
J/k, +1 to the above socket and hammer.
oh and goeff theres a bit of free play on the lux grips on the 696 already,
but its not obnoxious...
i expect the same on the s4rs...
There is a Santa! Nice stuff man. You know who is jealous. [popcorn]
thanks for the motivation pompetta....! [thumbsup]

I'm jealous...
Santa brought me a rather nice lump of coal.
Still trying to figure out where it goes on the Monster [bang]
why, in the charCOAL canister, of course..... ;D
[thumbsup] "Rizoma" is Italian for "bling"

only things left are termi's and bst's..... ;D
losing that heavy udder will feel good. (the Termi kit or any other option that uncorks the testastretta is a ride-altering mod)
Putting BSTs on her will forever make you forget adding horsepower and go for killing rotating weight.
Bike looks great by the way.
Keep telling Santa you've been very very good.
Find a way to new Hampshire for DIMBY 2 and try out an RS with BSTs and Termis to see if it's worth it for you. I require a bit of good tequila for the keys and a promise to not ride into a ditch.
[moto]
Those black reservoirs look fantastic and I'm always surprised at how much different grips change a bike.
how was the install on those rearsets? and do you know what size that large retaining for them is? i just ordered mine yesterday (self-santa'd i guess). got the black heal gaurds too...
rearset install was a piece of cake,
took about an hour....
retaining bolt broke free with a 15/16ths socket and light pressure,
certainly dont need an impact or anything....
trickiest part was trying to get the stock linkage rod to work with the new rearsets....
hint - look in the rizoma box under the bottom of the bubble wrap for the new, longer linkage rod..... [bang] [bang] [bang] [laugh]
if you havent determined already where you want your pegs positioned,
allow another half hour to try different placements until you get settled for the final assembly.
AND shifter toe position/ length, etc etc......
these things are mega- adjustable.....
rode them a good bit last night and today,
theyre everything theyre cracked up to be...
tight, smooth, much more room for my big-ass feet....
actually, thats the best compliment about ALL my new gear...
rearsets, grips, boots, helmet....
you dont even notice/ think about them while riding
it all just flows.... [thumbsup]
There is nothing better than riding a bike that is yours. Everything where you want it and set how you like it.
But it spoils you...you go for a demo ride on a theoretcally hotter bike and keep thinking 'ok...but the pegs should be half an inch higher and an inch further back...and the levers are too high...and I like a two finger short lever for my brake...and the mirrors are wrong...and it steers too heavy (no BSTs)..and the suspension is to quick to rebound and is too harsh on compression over small bumps...and it might finish the corner better with it's ass a bit higher in the air.........etc.etc.etc.
And then you ride your bike home and think aaahhhhhhhhh. sweet.
congrats on making it your bike.
