(okay okay i know) suppose by chance it actually holds true, shouldnt we try to have a little ride get together? it doesnt have to be anything spectacular dam i just got to get out im dying here. Ninja master got jipped on her new years ride, we have to make it up to her. Ahh hope i didnt doom this weekend by posting this. Well have to be carefull theres alot of gravel everywhere, should probably try to start the ride around 11am since the morning temps are freezing but up to 50 by noon. As for the route i dont care.
I am a no go for Saturday but could do Sunday.
if it hits the 50's this weekend
y'all might want to bring paddles on this ride
and a boat

I was thinking more of an ARK... something a tad larger than a boat.

That's probably true. I'll go over to Mom & Dad's place and borrow the canoe. It has a weight limit of 600 lbs, so I should be able to float the SS in that.
Anyway, down in Wilsonville there's so much gravel on the road it looks like I'd need to wheel out a dirt bike or quad.
Well this Sat and Sun looks ahhhh decent for Jan at least [thumbsup] Im going on a ride Sat, not sure where probably just a 2hr jaunt. Maybe ill see another MC in general out there....not many out these days.
If I see more of this sunshine tomorrow, the Duc is coming out of the garage. I dunno for how long, or where I'll go, but I'm dyin' to ride.
I wanna ride... we will see... if weather sucks, then I am ripping apart the SV and making some upgrades. (Or at least pretending too.)
i went for a ride the other day, I went to get into the left hand turn lane and hit a patch of gravel, my front wheel almost slid out from underneath me. This gravel everywhere has got me all sallied up, but dammit i am going nuts i need to ride. If i crash, oh well i need a new tank anyway......

hell yes.
i went out for a little ride today east of Troutdale toward the gorge. The road conditions out there are pretty good since i don't think they put down much gravel during the storm. I can tell you leather definitely does not cut it in this weather. Wind was blowing very hard in the open stretches that i thought i was going to get blown over.
yeah, the gorge is a place to avoid in the winter

My two fiddy gets tossed from side to side during high winds. I have to avoid the gorge.
Hey All, I'll meet you guys at Motocorsa at 10 a.m. Don't let a little gravel or cold slow you down.
Be strong and get out there and ride. ;D
Mike
yeah it was a bit freaky so i only went the speed limit. it was a disappointing ride in more than one way. i want a larger bike now.

Just wanted to clarify I'll be riding today, Saturday. See ya!
I went out this morning, just to the pharmacy and to get some cat food. It was cold and windy but not too bad. Lots of gravel in my neighborhood but the main roads were clear. Dress warm if you goo out!
Scott
The gravel and cold were not really the issue today, but the ice on the road between Estacada and Molalla forced a round about change. I had to cancel the plans to Silverton, but still made it a nice ride (90 miles round trip) from Motocorsa. I think the freakiest observation was watching the top of a tree break off in front of me, 5 seconds from stopping at the intersection that it feel into. The branches were large enough that if I would have timed it just a little bit sooner I would have had to pick myself off the ground. Sometimes you get lucky.
Looking forward to the next clear day and the next ride.
Saw some riders out today while I was driving around, including a Royal Enfield. Everyone is getting blown around. Just got home a little while ago and my street is littered with pine branches falling everywhere.
Scott
I took a ride today, freezin ass cold with blowing winds blowing me all over the place. Im done ridin i think till spring. [puke]
I went for a little half-hour jaunt in the countryside between Wilsonville and West Linn... beautiful, but COLD. My hands were numb for a couple minutes after I got back... and that was with thermal liners under my leather gloves.
The wind was pretty gnarly. Gravel everywhere too, but no big deal... I assumed it would be, so I wasn't getting rambunctious in the corners. I just had to go for a ride.
Cold? Yep. Gravel? Yep. Windy? Oh yeah. Still worth it? Definitely. [thumbsup] I got my fix for the next little while.
I have a motorcycle, I don't rember what it looks like
Im going on a ride from beaverton to north portland today to go to my sisters house for lunch. Wind is blowing pretty hard right now, should be fun.
