Hate to say it, but regardless of which date you choose for the Spring HC trip I won't be able to make it. [bang]

The roads are really packed on that weekend.

Yeah, we got the loading routine down to a science.
Just remember if you run sweep, you carry the tool kits, maps, and basic aid kit [thumbsup]

I wouldn't go anywhere on a motorcycle expecting to enjoy the road on that weekend. Had about two, maybe three decades of bad Memorial Day weekend experiences. Took me long enough to figure that one out. :P

i think i proved my pack-mule abilities on the bacon vodka weekend (torque wrench, anyone???) on the monster. so, i've got that covered. just need to know ahead of time what people need on the trip...or i can just load it up and figure it out when i get to KR too.

Memorial Day Weekend.
-1 on that lol.
I can't remember the exact dates of the spring 07 HC run but it was either the weekend before or after Memorial Day.
The spring '08 one was May 29th through June 2--after Memorial Day.

I don't get payed enough to plan anything.
Easter weekend, April 10,11,12. Bluebonnet/wildflower run. Instead of Koyote Ranch, do a loop from Llano to Enchanted Rock, Inks Lake, Burnet, etc. Eat BBQ at Cooper's and enjoy the roads while wildflowers are out.
Most folks will "nest" that weekend, roads shouldn't be too crowded.
A lot of you guys should get Friday off, at least half a day anyway.
Discuss.
A decision needs to be made soon on a date ...I will have to schedule vacation for next year very soon.
-else the H.C. trip could be ribless :'(

Haha, I'm just bustin' your chops Cory.
I hope somebody starts planning the spring HC trip soon. If not the spring time in the Hill Country are going to be quiet

My plan is to try to make it whatever weekend it is planned for ;D
Alright, ladies, how many have set-in-stone plans that DO NOT involve your best-friends EVAH on Easter Weekend? [evil] [laugh]
How about Easter Weekend - APRIL 10, 11, 12 (Fri - Sun), Koyote Ranch?
If that doesn't work, maybe the weekend after that, 4/17 - 4/19?
I should be fine for any weekend as long as I know in advance.
BTW IIRC April weather in the HC is sketchy... rainy still
That's why I would vote for the end of May--
Lisa, thanks for taking the reins and getting this trip going! Somebody has to do or else the traditional Spring party in the HC is in danger of not happening
Sure, May works too. Getting close to the end of school for Sam so I'll need to look at his calendar before I commit; a May trip should be do-able tho [thumbsup] (EDIT: May 23 - 25 is out for me; long holiday weekend for school.)
REVISED Hill Country SPRING Trip dates:
May 1 - 3 or
May 8 - 10 or
May 15 - 17 or
May 29 -31
Which of these dates looks do-able for the most people?
