With all the flooding around here, teleport is about the only way in and out right now. You literally cannot drive from Seattle to Portland, Oregon at the moment.
well...their shpiel on the website says that the voting begins on December 30th...I hope that was a typo because they were doing to ad copy in December and meant January 30th for to be able to start voting...
So where can I see what I want to vote for ???

Methinks they probably won't be updated until later today. I will be going by my dealer's shop later today
to see theirs.
yeah there was some confusion on when the bikes would be in and the order of events. We received our bikes on Tuesday and had it in the studio Wed night. ducatiusa.com should have a link today.
Voting is now live !
Voting is open (http://monster.ducatiusa.com/m1100sdealermonsterchallenge.php)!!!
damn dave you beat me to it. [thumbsup]
edit:
I'm a bit unmoved by a majority of the entries. :-\
Hmmm. A couple of dealers that were originally listed as participating apparently aren't. Like my local dealer and the portland dealer.
:-\
I guess the rules must have been pretty restrictive. i.e. "Just paint the skins" and put on the termis. Most of the bikes didn't even stray from the standard white/black black/black red/red
I only counted three that had a non-standard tank / frame color combo.
While all the paint was exceptional, they could have just run the contest with photos of the skins (except for a few of the bikes)
Please, before the flames start, they all look great, I voted, I was just hoping for 1 or 2 to be a little more involved

One bike arrived at most dealerships on Tuesday of this week. The contest was only about the skins not bolt on bling..
You got my vote, Dave! [thumbsup]
Done voting.
Some creative minds out there!

Phenomal work for just two days. All the paint was fantastic but yours stood out
Having done some motorcycle painting back in the 70s (lacquer). I t's hard to believe the detail and multiple layers you achieved in such a short time [thumbsup]. Really nice job
Some of the work was really great [thumbsup] Are the skins going to be available to the public? Otherwise other than paint most of them really did not stray to much from tradition :-\

The artwork was all done with colored sharpies and then cleared over.. The artist Danny and Lance are also famous for their Monster site www.ducatisuite.com. Both of them now live and work for us here in Seattle. Great guys and very talented.

Cant decide, they all look awesome in their own way. Really liked the one with the exhaust running under the bike (only one to do it). But as much as I dont like the stock exhaust, I now am not sure whether I like how the race exhaust looks. need more time for it to grow on me.
Does the Beverly hills Ducati have rear sets on it? I was just up at moto Forza today. (Nice ride but it was a little warm today [evil])
To see the new Monster 1100 in person. I liked the bike but thought that if you wanted to remove the passenger pegs you would need to replace the entire assembly
Yup, looks like Rizoma...
It was tough. They all look amazing.
I wonder why none of the Texas dealership that were listed aren't participating.
I’m nuts about the Toronto entry! And PJ’s (Albuquerque) is superb, totally New Mexican! Actually, I like all the bikes and appreciate the concepts and the efforts. I would bet that some constraints and parameters on the extent of customizing were imposed by costs, time, and maybe Ducati. Anyway, I would like to own them all. Maybe a large airplane hangar . . .
Be sure to click on the pics.
notice the clutch cover on the daytona ducati entree, looks like it was hand cut by some jeweler. ;D

saw the ducpond bike this weekend at the MC show in D.C.

Some really nice paintwork on some of the bikes, even the canadian ones ;D [thumbsup]
Regardless of your choice of favorite, please vote for the one you like ! It doesn't really matter if you approve of the premise of the contest, it is what it is. The dealers followed the guidelines and deadlines they were given to the best of their ability. Many dealers could use the encouragement, it has been a tough 5-6 months for quite a few.

"AND THE WINNER OF THE MONSTER 1100 COMPETITION IS...
While the competition was fierce, in the end there could be only one. Votes came in fast and strong showing support for Ducati dealerships around the country. As the counting began it was uncertain who would emerge victorious. Throughout the week votes remained close but a victor was crowned. With inspiration taken from the urban Los Angeles landscape Del Amo Motorsports captured the most attention and has taken their Monster 1100 to the winner’s circle.
“The concept for the bike emerged from a gathering of ideas supporting the urban landscape found in the Los Angeles area. As many of you know, Los Angeles has many of the Nation's most pristine riding areas, canyons and highways abounding throughout Southern California.
The most prominent piece in our design is the Los Angeles City Hall building, arguably the most recognizable Los Angeles Skyscraper. We utilized a view of reverse construction on the building to tie into the trellis frame that Ducati is famous for. The front windscreen and rear seat cowl were designed using the artist’s rendering of Downtown Los Angeles seen from overhead. Also worth mentioning is the tank stripe which pays homage to the new Ducati Logo. We utilized the Italian flag in the design to pay tribute to those who brought over such a wonderful bike. This experience has been very arduous but well worth the experienceâ€"from the 2 week deadline (concept to finished product) to the install and final unveil.
Del Amo Motorsports would like to thank Ducati for this unique opportunity. We here at Del Amo Motorsports Redondo Beach, CA would like to thank all who contributed to the final design. Art and Design by Alan Villanueva, Graphics by Expectalot, Monste 1100 S by Ducati North America".
Ducati North America would like to applaud Del Amo Motorsports for a job well done as well as all of the dealers that participated in this competition. Many unique and creative Monster 1100s were unveiled to the public just a few short days ago. Interest has been high making these customized Monsters the focal point of many conversations.
Stay tuned for further happenings with these customized Monsters. "
it was one of my top 4 choices ... tough to decide; also liked the day of the dead theme one; and the funky paint job by that artist San Fran artist ...
