Just dropped the 848 at HPD for warranty work and they're demoing the M1100 today.
Also, somebody asked about white 848s. They have at least 1 on the floor.
Munroe has a couple white 848's as well.
OK, I give. What's HPD?
HPD = Honda Peninsula Ducati

Thanks for educating the Marin guy. ;)
Apologies for the TLA. I was on my blackberry when I posted that.

You still have your 848? I thought you got rid of it for some reason Likey now?
PS any verdicts on the M1100? Anyone test one?
I went by Munroe. The new look, is growing on me, but then had to leave because of how much I hate the mirrors on it. It's like someone sneezed with a crayola in their hand and it went into production. They put them on the street fighter as well.
Easy to change with many options that thank goodness.

Um, since when has
anyone liked any of the prior 3 generations of Monster mirrors? Those are the first things that need to go.

Eh, I'm still debating it. Some days I really like it. Other days I'd rather have another Monster. Maybe an S2R. I'm installing Helibars when it comes back from the shop to see if that improves the ride at all. If not, I'll consider selling it.

It's not really doing much for me. I sat on an S4Rs and it felt great. Then I sat on the M1100 and it's just too uncomfortable. It's possible the seat is better when you're actually riding it.

That seems to be a common complaint. The seat wedges you against the tank, much like the 696. But the DP seat is a little less angled, and seemed to be more comfortable when I sat on it.

+1
I just got a DP seat on my 696 and it is a much flatter seat. In addition it added some height(it felt too low for me). The seat's a big improvement.

Yup, absolutely love the DP Touring seat. The best $224 I've ever spent!
