I think I ready for it.
When I first road her last Friday the damest think happened, I found that the more I twisted the throttle the bigger the stupid grin on my face grew. ;D
Thankfully my new helmet has an iridium visor!
Woo Hoo [thumbsup] [clap]
yeh for danno, but it not yellow what were you thinking, Very glad you've got some two wheels again, now i will have to try really hard to keep up with you.
Good on yah Dannog,Welcome to the 150km club. She's a beauty [thumbsup]
Hmmm dialled in cams and lightened flywheel ??? Be interesting to se how she goes [evil]
well done dannog, can't wait to see and hear her!
well done!
You'll have to contribute in the 2 vs 4 valve thread after you've given her a good go!
must be a relief to have 2 wheels under you again....and watch out for the nutcases!
I pick her up on Thursday.
Tomorrow they'll be adding a few of the bling bits and essentials that I saved before the nasty insurance man took the old girl away.
I've come home tonight as giddy as a school girl..... I'll have to settle down before I pick her up.
Top stuff Dannog, glad you have a set of wheels again.
Now we`re just waiting for Spider to decide on his new ride.

Ahem ... not the only one
Well done Dan! That makes it two skunk bikes in two weeks.
Are you fully recovered physically?
What 'bits' are making the transition from the
girlsyellow bike?

threadjack...
it's not decide...it's finding one! at the moment the s2r1000's are scarce, came close to a s4r 10 days ago....and trying to get one at realistic prices....not easy...that's why Danno did so well. Should of bought Rusty's machine and been done with it!!!!
back to the worship of Danno's machine....

That's outside the "new" Frasers, right? Do you know who dialed the cams and what specs they used? Is it a DP flywheel or a machined stocker?
curious-big

Not _serious_ ones... If I did I think I'd just ride it down to Melbourne and give it to Brad and say "make it go fast!"...
big (and he'd probably say, "what, fit a 900 motor?")

Big, yes it was the new Frasers. The bike had the cam work done at Frasers in the Gong and they told me it was a DP flywheel. As for specs I don't have them. What I did notice was a huge difference between how smooth the power delivery was for this bike compared to the stock S4R I road on the same test ride. What ever they did was very noticeable as I'm no race experience. They have the full service history at Frasers that they said they'd provide along with the stock parts.

Are you fully recovered physically?
Recoveries taken way longer than I'd hoped. I had surgery on my leg to remove the haemotoma prechristmas and since then I've been a lot more comfortable. Went back to work last week and now having phyiso to get all my bits (legs and shoulder that is) working again properly. Long term, my left leg won't have any fat under the skin along with a bunch of bumps and holes but hay, it isn't like have to model them to too many folk. [laugh] I certainly have enough fat everywhere else that will compensate [thumbsup]. I expect the shoulder to fully recover now that I've started phyiso

What 'bits' are making the transition from the girlsyellow bike?
I salvaged the STM clutch slave cylinder, oil breather, frame plugs, oil filler cap and HID head lamp which will go straight on. The STM billet clutch basket, pressure plate and cover took a flogging along with the billet pegs. The weekend before the accident I purchased Rizoma Reservoirs, grips and LED blinkers at the Sydney Bike Show. Fortunately i didn't have time to install them so they'll also go straight on as well.
I also salvaged the carbon side covers, DP ECU and most importantly, the brand new Ohlins rear suspension which amazingly didn't get a scratch on it! I only installed a few weeks prior so I'll be looking to sell this stuff if anyone is interested.
I'm awaiting to get it home to finalise a list of bits to get but so far it looks something like this:
- bling bits
- adjustable leavers
- mirrors
- carbon rear end and fender eliminator
- open clutch cover and new pressure plate
- essentials
- new tank cover to take my tank bag
- single sided rear stand
- chain tensioning spanner
- rear nut spanner
I think I'll be happy for a little while once these are taken care off. ;D ;D
have fun trying to get to sleep to night [thumbsup]
now here's a good question....now that you've come out the other side of the accident....
what gear are you going to wear? any changes to that?
the bike is going to be bloody awesome! especially with the Rizoma bling on it!
(oh,oh, 1100 posts! I'm a monster!)

Excellent then Dannog, I think that means Steve will have done the work on the bike in the Gong.
I am told by everyone who takes there bike to him that he is a master.
Vince, Rob and many others swear by him.
Happy first days together, catch you soon. [thumbsup] [thumbsup]
spider I might be willing to sell my s2r1000 if your interested - I had been thinking about a change this year.
red with white stripe (white wheels)
10 thou on the clock
new termis with ecu and air filter (tuned at frasers) 3k worth
1st owner
pilot road 2's (near new f+b)
clutch cover and shiny bits done... otherwise stock!
PM me if interested.
well danog have you got home yet , how is she , wheres more pix [thumbsup]
You wouldn't belioeve it but as soon as I rode out of the driveway at Fraser's the sky open up and I got soaked!
I underestimated just how long it takes to do all the paperwork and was running late for my phyiso appointment so couldn't take the long way home.
After that, I had to drive the family to the circus at the Opera House (great show by the way) so didn't get the chance to ride her much at all.
I was suprisingly nervous on my trip into work this morning (especially heading up Harris St) but arrive safe and sound.
Impressions this far.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
I lov it
