Title: A Q for the Audiophiles.
Post by: Super T.I.B on May 13, 2008, 12:28:39 AM
I was cleaning out a cupboard the other day and found my trusty old turntable.

Thinkin, YEAH, this is alright, I will give my old vinyl a spin!  [thumbsup]

Hooked it all up to my system. It's not much, it's a Rotel with Tannoy speakers, and powered it up. It's in my garage. ;)

Flicked the needle over, Oh, the turntable don't move. Hmmmm, I'll have a look at the belt. Belt's toast, I took it out and it just disintegrated in my hands.

My Q is this, where in Sydney can I get another belt and would there be a standard size for belts as I have noooo idea what the size is as it just fell apart.

Your input is most valuable.

[thumbsup]

http://www.internationaldynamics.com.au/

give these blokes a call tomorrow on (03) 9429 0822 (ask for service)

they're the Australian importer of Rotel and do service, they can tell you if the belt is available.

then choose your service provider (in NSW) and ring with the part number!

I don't have any spare ones so I'm not gonna try.

I have got a STACK of old LP's that I haven't heard in years and it would be good to spin the black circle again. [thumbsup]
