Title: THCM's preferred ceramic/powder coater
Post by: Sleeper_I on January 19, 2009, 02:32:01 AM
Howdy all,

As I am planning to have a few parts ceramic/powder coated I would like to get a few suggestions from you all on where to go in the area.

I figure I'll start this topic so we all can share our experience of local shops and suggest any preferred local shop.

You're in Austin, right?  I think I had pm'ed on of the Austin guys regarding ceramic coating when a few of us were considering some exhaust work.

Not sure if I still have that referral.  Hopefully one of them will chime in.  I couldn't find much on the internet for Austin ceramic coaters.

There's a guy here in Houston who does pretty decent powdercoating work if you don't mind sending it out.

I have used Crosslink  http://www.crosslinktexas.com/ and have been very impressed with them.  They did my wheels on my R6 and my headlight ring on the Monster.

Thanks Red, I checked out your post by the way[thumbsup]. That is why I started this thread hoping others will contribute their experience on local shops. Plus, I'm a little hesitant about sending stuff out. I prefer to deal locally in person. Besides, it'll be interesting to see how it is done on site [popcorn]

Thanks for the link (no pun intented) JT. I'll call them up for an estimate

Sleep, call this guy....Bronson Willard from Southern Metal Choppers (yeah yeah he's a builder)

He's got a fab shop here in Austin (I 35/Braker) that certainly has connections for everything......dude painted my Ape and I'm very happy with his work......and his attitude....two wheeled friendly for sure....
