I fell asleep at 8pm last night. Waaay early for me. I woke up at midnight wide awake. Got out of bed, surfed the internet for a while then went out into the garage and figured id adjust the clip on handlebars on my MC. They are positioned too low. After pulling everything off then putting them back on, its now 4am. My alarm goes off in 2 hrs and i know i wont fall asleep before it goes off.......i feel fine now, but know at around 9am in a meeting at work i will be dead. Anyone ever do something like this? Dam me and dam me for falling asleep too early. [bang]
I got home from pool last night at 1 am... and I am now on a conference call at work.... oye. I feel your pain.
Not by accident.... i'm pretty sure i've got the flu, and an insomniac infant. Its been a rough coupla days.

It gets better, hang in there. Our kid slept through the night once you got him to sleep. Whole point being getting him to sleep, hed be up til midnight sometimes as a baby, and i dont think he slept the whole night through until he was at least 4 months old. By all night i mean a 6 hr stretch of sleeping. First time we slept all night we woke up at 6am and ran into his room figuring something must be wrong he didnt cry and wake us there he was sleeping away. Now hes 7, we have the opposite problem he wont get out of bed for school...... [thumbsup]
that shows how tired i was when i wrote the initial thread subject....why i wrote "by accident" i have no clue. [laugh]
Not sure I ever did "by accident".
Pulled an all-nighter deliberately in college, finishing a tech report. That wasn't too bad, but I had planned for it.
Rolled into Prescott one time as the sky was getting light, 5AM, needed to be up by 8AM for class (had returned from a job interview in Indianapolis... plane was running late, then I had to drive to Prescott from Phoenix). :P This one wasn't planned, but there was nothin' I could do about it. That following day sucked.
Stayed at a friend's house playing video games and watching movies 'til 5AM on New Year's Eve, then my sis didn't want to just crash there, so she made my bro and I drive home. :P Thankfully was able to sleep uninterrupted for a good chunk of the day after that.
for the records....no it didnt take me 4 hrs just to adjust the bars...i wound up taking them completely off, taking the headlight off and rerouted the wiring, then put it all back together again. I think most of my time was spent looking for the right tool most of the time. My tools are scattered from here to eternity, i need to get that stuff together. Its hard to find time to do stuff like that during the day when you got a kid.

most people have a vice. drugs, alcohol, gambling...mine's sleep deprivation...I dig it.
Yep.
Last time I went to NYC. I told my buddy Robb NYC is the the city that sleeps and neither will we.
Over 5 days we got a grand total of 8 hours of sleep. None the 1st 2 days then over the next three a couple of cat naps here and there.

All I hear is, "Blah Blah Blah, I went on vacation to Barbados, please feel sorry for me, Blah Blah Blah"... :P
Back on topic, spent 5 all nighters my first semester of Architecture, then 2 more the 2nd semester (got straight A's tho... and I could sit there for 12 hours straight and not realize it when I was in Arch... *shrugs*).
Spent an all nighter driving from Spokane to Eugene (left at 11:30pm), then stayed up most of the day playing Diablo with my friends networked.
Had multiple 'almost all nighters' when G and I first started talking on the phone, she'd get off work at 10pm, then we'd talk on the phone for many, many hours...
And when I was running The Big Easy, Kid Rock and his entourage stayed up all night in our VIP lounge playing music and chillin' till they finally left around 5am or so... very memorable night!

Mother and I did this too. Three hour time difference plus him working nights led to many nights of me on the phone til 3 or 4am.
Your all nutts, I like sleep, someone give it back to me.
Many times in the Army, all night duty on CQ (Charge of Quarters), in the field, gunnery, and such.

Dewd... I'm envious... that would've been freakin' cool. [thumbsup]
It WAS pretty cool... They came over from playing a concert at the Arena and wanted to continue to play some music, so I pulled a couple of acoutic guitars off the wall (signed guitars on display... one by the Eagles and one by Tim McGraw), and my appreciation for his skills as a musician greatly increased. Wasn't really a fan but to listen to him and his lead guitarist play acoustic from 5 feet away... THAT was cool... He even signed a guitar for me (told me to call him Bob... LOL)... Totally laid back and not what you'd think...
