Yeah... I've got the Icon Domain 2 Warthog helmet which has a rotary cannon type motif on it:

So I was thinking about getting these for my black 696 after the 1000km break in period:

...Question is... would i be a complete and utter wanker?
You asked.....................................
........................YES ;D
yeah... yeah i thought so... cf termis instead?
i actually saw someone (albeit a harley) with this on it. it spins... cool... but on a ducati... no

Raux it never cease's to amaze me the thing's you see on harley's, i'm just waiting to see one with the kitchen sink on a trailer behind so an exhaust like that wouldn't be to out of place [bang]
I think Arnold Schwarzenegger has them on his bike so . . . ;)
Hell, if YOU think it's cool, then it is. Who cares what others think (including me), it's your bike.
Yeah I say go for it. WHo cares what others think. After all it is your bike and part of the Ducati appeal is the wide array of both performance and cosmetic modifications you can do to make the bike Yours.
....tosser! ;D
If you mount the tailgunners, now ILL have someone to make fun of. Ive got the "Boobie Lights"
It all comes down to one thing. Would you be proud rockin it?
I would like to see what two of those side by side tucked under the rear cowl would look like. Possably cool or it may be ridiculous, but hay to each their own if it makes you smile than go for it.
I had to delete my first reply because a very good point was brought up. The fact that I do not like it doesn't matter at all. It only matters if you do. I know that if someelse told me what to do with my bike, I would tell them to stuff it.
I feel better now.

and on his Hummer too!
i think it'd be kinda gay. but if you want it, that's all that matters. some people think we're stuck up snobs by default because we own ducatis. so what?
although, i'd have to say that if your entire bike was themed in a military fashion it could potentially be bad ass.
why put a exhaust one on the back, when you can mount a full sized on the front?? ;D

i would say that a military themed ducati with your helmet would NEED these as the exhausts.

I think that was the bike they built for the release of my helmet [cheeky]
...notice the speaker just behind the seat?
Well it would be nice to have something different instead of the obligatory carbon fiber termis or arrows... Oh well, we shall see, thanks for all the replies, and don't worry if you do think i'm a tosser for getting them, I wouldn't have posted on here if I didn't think it would be a bit tosserish myself [thumbsup] Thanks for being honest, this is my first duke so I was just wanting to see what the response would be from an established community of monster owners.
Go for it... My friend has them on his Hornet which is about to get a military green/drab paint scheme... It's all about what you like, and I think you would be the first one I've seen with them on a Ducati.
This was brought up previously on TOB. (http://www.ducatimonster.org/forums/accessories-mods/155502-tailgunners.html (http://www.ducatimonster.org/forums/accessories-mods/155502-tailgunners.html)) Apparently a couple guys there were doing it.
One guy had them on his 1995 Ducati E900 (Elefant)

As I understand from reading that thread, you have to do a 2-into-1 exhaust to get enough force to make them spin.

This would make traffic fun!!! [evil] If the front gun was functional I would it full of blanks and use it as a horn.
I say do it if you like it. You may even start a trend and poetentially, cages would think twice abut messing with you [evil]

i like that there's a peace sign on the front fender... nice.
By the way, how do you like the Domain 2 helmet? I've got the first generation Domain. Not too noisy and it vents really well. Kinda looks gigantic though.
As far as the tailguns, do whatever you want! If you don't feel like an ahole with them on, who cares?
I think it would be cool [thumbsup] [thumbsup]
