Just got a new bike. 1977 BMW R100S. [cheeky]
No pics yet but will post.
Bike is super clean and all original except for a dark tint windshield and a solid red re-spray at some point in it's past. Everything working well, missing clock, bright chrome and perfect seat. It's no Monster, feels slow and a bit cumbersome but on the other hand it is all day comfortable. I got it to do some touring this spring and plan on racking up some miles as soon as the weather breaks.
I love the old school 70's cafe fairing...reminds me of the sport classic front end only with a HUGE headlight.
Congratulations, should be a sweet bike. Looking forward to the PICS!
You will love the bike. They can be made surprisingly fast and you might not think so from looking, but they can be hustled around corners ALARMINGLY well.
One of the prettiest bikes ever IMHO.
I rode a way hopped up punched out R90S on a daily basis for many years and loved it. I did everything good ole Reg Pridmore could think of to tell me to do to that bike excerpt for ti rods.
God, but that thing would fly. And with a set of open honest to goodness Dunstall Megaphones they sound as good as a Ducati ............ almost.
Enjoy, [thumbsup]

Very cool. One of my all time favorite bikes are the mid 70s R90S bikes. If I close my eyes I can still see Reggie Pridmore winning the first AMA Superbike Championship on a Butler and Smith R90S in '76!! [thumbsup]

Awesomeness. That bike will still be running 25 years from now and parts will be around forever. They are an aquired taste for some but that bike, like some guns, cars and paintings will forever be a classic. A good friend in college in Austin, TX in the mid 70s had a R90S in the Daytona orange color. I wanted that bike big time... it still keeps me up at night thinking about it. A guy on our DFWM board had 2 or 3 of them over time.
I've got a '83 smoke/silver R100RS that needs some TLC. Cool sled for sure but no R90S. Maybe some day I'll have one. [thumbsup] Hope you enjoy it!! [beer]
Looks like fun. [evil]
Beautiful bike. Congratulations [thumbsup]
LA is that your R90S? [bow_down]
smoke silver...Sweet!
Nice bike man.
Beautiful. Let me know the next time there's gonna be a bike show in STL. I'm in the boonies and therefore "out of the loop".
By the way, I'd go with the antique license plates. Anything's better than the new Missouri plates.
