Title: Old Mings in Houston
Post by: ducky on February 05, 2009, 06:26:40 PM
The old Mings hangout in Houston is now a hip burger joint.  I think it's the same guys that own Max's Wine Dive on Washington.

Should we revive the weekly bike night?  [moto]

Sounds good to me. I've been wanting to check out the place, seems ok.

Aren't the words "hip" and "burger joint" a contradiction?

Real men eat at White Castle.

If someone buys me a drink I'll be there.

Not sure why I'm asking for a handout.  :P    Just thought since everyone is so enthusiastic to get as many of the old regulars out there, I'd get a free drink out of it.  ;D

Title: sliders and ducatis
Post by: runyaga on February 12, 2009, 08:57:07 PM
Hey guys.  I was the guy who accidentally stumbled upon the meet up this evening at the sliders joint.  The guy with the matte black 695 monster.  Too bad I didn't get to hang out;  I could really amaze you guys with my ignorance.  Wish I had more time to hangout; I was there to meet a friend I had not seen in months.

With regards to places to meetup, here are some more thoughts.

  - Rudyards is awesome

  - Earnies on Banks is a shit hole that isnt awful

  - West Alabama Icehouse seems like a good choice

  - Icehouse next to Fitzgeralds

The slider place isnt bad either.  And across the street at BB's (pretty rockin cajun).

Just announce where next one will be and I will be there.

cheers
alan

Hey man! It was good bumping into you.

We actually usually meet at ruds, but we wanted to try this place out after it opened. Keep in touch for more meetups and rides.

Cheers
