Hey sorry, ladies and gents for getting your hopes up on the raffle. I saw it on another ducati board http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=18787.0 and thought it was a great idea. That was before researching it an all, so ended up being a legal disaster apparently. Well, bike is still up for sale so if you're interested let me know. Ride on [beer]
Define legal disaster?
Link doesn't work. ???
the admins deleted all of my postings and said that the dmf might be held accountable if things went south on the raffle :'( I know this deviates very largely from the norm and I've never heard of something like this before. Thought it would be a sweet idea.

Or for $50.
Ummm, Just host a site on godaddy.com for the raffle.
Link it here. DMF no longer liable, you get your money, someone gets a great deal, everyone is happy.
You don't even need to host a site. Just set something up on Google Sites for free. You're collecting money via Paypal so you just need to update the site occasionally with the ticket count.
And i reckon that advice is worth a ticket. ;D
Hah! Ok, I'll look into it. I have two people coming by to check out the bike this weekend, hopefully not tire kickers. If things go well I'll just sell it, if not, the google site is a great idea. I'll keep you posted.
someone explain the legal issues. me no entiendo?
How much you asking... Just curious
7500 on Craigslist, 7K for dmf'ers, possible also for trade of lower value bike plus cash monies

They're illegal unless you're a non-profit. Here's the FAQ (http://ag.ca.gov/charities/faq.php#raffles) from the Attorney General's website.
And there you have it, was a fun ride for a day ;D... Sorry guys/gals for gettting your hopes up on a $50/$250 monster

F*ck the law. Host a bbq (I think we still have that right), and work it out among friends. Bring a bong and a camera, too. Or host the website in the Cayman Islands.

All I'm sayin' is that the law says what the law says. The law also says ya can't wheelie at people in crosswalks.

lol, maybe this will work out, that would be crazyzyzyzyzyyyy
Can it be a prize for the bikini wrestling?
Not to be an ass but who in thier right mind would paypal somone money when they dont know who they are other than a member on a forum promising a bike. Whos to say he wont just get all the money then cash out? When i first saw that post i thought it was a joke, until i saw the replys with people saying put me down for 5 then the realization hit me that there really are people out there that either havent been ripped off, or are just much more trusting than I. Whos to say in the end even with a live camera when they picked a number he wasnt picking his buddys number? I still dont get it.
Most of the people here know me from going on rides or the 2x's i've been to zeitgeist. I'm also a nigerian prince, that gives me both street cred. and royal credibility. ;D It's not going to happen but was a good idea for a short stent.
