Title: So you want to learn how to work on your ducati?
Post by: clubhousemotorsports on February 07, 2009, 07:07:42 PM
That is, have some one show you as opposed to the way some of us learned.

http://clubhousemotorsports.com/Clubhouse_Events.html (http://clubhousemotorsports.com/Clubhouse_Events.html)

This is in the north east so I cannot help everyone but with winter here in full swing, a plane ticket would be tempting. ;)

I have tried to arrange the dates to get through the winter with time to apply the new skills if you are so inclined. The suspension date is late enough that you may even be able to ride in and set up your own bike.

sessions are pretty laid back and directed by the group as to how in-depth we go.

For info or to sign up you can PM me or send an email to eric@clubhousemotorsports.com

Did I mention they are Free? It is at least a great excuse to get out of the cold and talk bikes again. [beer]

If anyone here doesn't know Eric, you should.  He's a great guy, his knowledge seems endless and he offers it readily.  He's let me borrow parts until I could source my own.  I've spent hours asking stupid questions while watching him work on my bike and he hasn't once hit me.   [thumbsup]  Put these on your 'gotta do' list.

You are not far enough south to make it tempting right now.... but you do have that new race track [bow_down]

I have been up in NH over the years for services during winter. Describing it as "cold" doesn't do it justice. Yes I know, I did have a tendancy to wear shorts, but that doesn't change the fact that its too freakin cold for too freakin long !

He had to handcuff it to his wrist. The last time I was at his house I took out my spy camera and snapped some photos of the super top secret stuff. I'm making a killing on Ebay!  [laugh]

He has two more scheduled. Two valve and four valve service.

Pm or mail him for the schedule.

I vote that we petition to push this date back...

Chances of me finishing reassembly (HURRY UP POWDER COATER!!  [bang]) are very slim and I had eric rework both ends and would like to have him do final setup as well.

How about it?

if i were running a moto shop, i would be getting pretty busy (i hope) by mid april. might not have extra time for another session.

but WTF do i know. my bike is going to be there for a bit anyway for the 12k service....

and bring the bike to him when it's ready.

Sorry to get back to the board  late but as you guessed it things are getting busy.

I will not be able to push the date back, my suggestion would be to come to the class and learn what needs to be done/checked. After you get your bike together ride it up some day and I would be glad to see how close we are and check/ set sag.

I also hope the powder coater is not too far backed up as I have a bunch more for him.

Don at PCA is only about a day late as of today  [roll] I have to admit I am starting to get a little anxious and with the weather warming up (now) I'm even more stressed about getting it done. They said it should be early in the week.

Actually I think I am having anxiety about seeing my color choices come together it could be  [thumbsup] or  [puke] in which case I will either be  [moto] or  :'(

Anyways can't wait for these clinics because I lost the notebook where I took down the tighter valve specs that were recomended for the 4 valves and so am holding off on digging into the valves.
