The Termi kit comes with a hiflow air filter (a K&N?) anyway does anyone know if it's ok to add just the filter to your bike (well that and slipons from someone else). I found the K&N number DU-6908
guess my question is. is there an advantage to using the K&N if you don't have the DP ECU?
I ordered the K and N filter last week, (AND OIL FILTER)will take a week or two to get here.
I'll post once I get the bike toigether in March, first need the snow to go.
I have the stock exhaust and ecu.
Wishing I was riding today.

I don't think so.
It won't give any performance increase unless you modify the airbox, which will require ecu tweaks, and it doesn't filter as well as the stock filter.
ok i'm confused. the Termi kit comes with it.
there's no mod to the airbox with that?

I believe the kit comes with an open airbox lid.
I could be wrong.
No air box lid with the Termi kit.
ok, so i figure...
the kit comes with the ecu, filter and termis.
if we open up the exhausts even with another slipon and then add the K&N then it's the same as the Termi kit, minus the ecu mapping.
PC V is coming out for the 696. so all in all a much lower cost alternative i guess.

I was looking at other exhaust but went with the Termi's because they came with air filter and ecu, no open airbox lid.
The Termi's were also the best value (imho), I paid $1100 and fitted them myself, in Europe you can get them for around 800 euros.

Ebay, best offer, brand new in original box. I was also looking at getting them shipped from UK, would have been about the same now the dollar/ pound exchange rate has dropped.
$850 installed for the SS Termi kit when I bought my 696. $150 installed for the Ergal lightweight timing belt pulleys.
any noticeable gain with the pulley?
sorry for thread jack
Replaces all 4 pulleys, almost 1 lb weight removed from the cam drive. Maybe a little quicker throttle response, but not huge.
found a BMC
