Post by: DucatiTorrey on February 08, 2009, 06:57:43 PM
Hey everyone, winter is about to end, and surprisingly being a skier, i'm excited! I will be buying my first bike this week, a 2009  M696 Dark with termis!!!

Look for me on the road in Michigan this summer!  Everyone here has been super nice, thanks for all the advice (even if i only read your posts)

Howdy and welcome to the board Torrey.
Wait until they hand you the key, you'll giggle like a little school girl inside.
Well, as always, pics needs to be posted asap ;D
Oh, enjoy and ride safe [moto]

Thanks guys, signing the paperwork tomorrow (felt weird doing it after work today, being friday the 13th and all, i guess it is a dark!)

I'll have pics up as soon as it hits the road, i think they'll have it for a month or so, before i ride it home (snow)  :-\

Congrats. You'll love the bike. Have you taken a MSF course or have you ridden other people's bikes before? I would hate to see you make a newbie mistake on a shiny new bike is all.

The course is april 14th, we have snow now, so i wont be riding it till after that.
Have ridden dirt bikes at a friends place in the summers during high school, and rode a friends motorcycle around town a few times last summer.

with some parking lot practice i think i'll be good to go. take it easy, practice practice practice

Here is a Photochop of what i want to do to my bike, the termis are on back order, tail chop is in, its a cw, planning on mounting between the exhaust hangers. Thanks to whoevers bike this actually is. I like the idea of blacking out the front fairing, but i'm gonna smoke it at a tint shop instead. (MY IDEA FIRST! :-))

what do you all think?
