Title: Whats up
Post by: darthmoto on February 13, 2009, 08:27:01 PM
Hey guys, I just bought an 09 696 in pearl white. Its my first Ducati, after coming off a 91 Honda HawkGT. (Which I love and will be keeping, for sure) Anyways, I had considered other bikes like the SV650, and Aprilia Shiver. The duc was the first one I test rode and the one I took home the next day. The dealer let me take it out onto the twisties and I swear, after taking the first turn at speed, I was hooked. Also, my position on the bike, the reach to the bars, and the placement of the clipons were so perfect, I knew the Ape and Suzuki probably wouldnt have been any better for me. And finally, the bike is absolutely beautiful. After I saw the redesign, it stuck in my mind for a long while.

Im in Bay Area California, btw. Im wondering if there are any Monster rides or clubs or whatever around here?

I hit a pothole and bent my front rim a good 1/3"..
Once the rain dies down a little, and I get my front rim back from the shop, the honeymoon will continue where it left off.  ;D

I'll get some "proper" pics later on. :)
