Welcome to DaddyDuc y'all. Some of you all saw and met DaddyDuc at the Chili Cook Off. He's an ex-Busa rider and is looking for a "special" SBK. He's got one spotted in Co. but needs some more options. At $12.5k (includes shipping to Tx.) a 999s w/$9k in mods LE "Parts" bike that has less than 2k on the speedo sounds pretty good for now. Does anyone here on the board have or know of a SBK along the lines of a '05+ 999s, 1098s for sale?
Does this sound good or no. The bike is spotlessly new.
Also, I heard that Derrick is no longer at AMS-D Sup w/dat?
Tell your friend to check out the old 1098-forum, now its called ducati-superbikes

Please help me welcome another new member to the forum, DaddyDuc and his new YELLOW '03 999. [clap] [clap] [clap] The bike is barely broke in good and corners so smooth and sounds very cool with the full Termis. Various cf already installed,(note: cf turn signals and side panels @ induction)
DD graciously let me take it for a spin last night to get some feedback. Funny story bout the ride is that I went into dowtown FW and back on one of my favorite chicanes from I-30 westbound onto Tx Hwy 287 northbound on the 'Downtown' exit. Coming into downtown I cruised by 8.0 bar where all the hogs were feeding and decided to 'say hello' with a couple of pumps of the throttle. Next thing I hear in a loud angry tone was "F*@k You too!". I hope I didn't make him spill his beer all over his chopper machine thingy he was wrestling with. He couldn't seem to get it turned into the street very well for some reason. [laugh]
Anyway, here's a link to some pics of the bike below. One question to those in the know is, is the stabilizer stock? It looks it.

Aww, man, how cool is that?! Another 999 and another yellow one at that [thumbsup] Congrats on the purchase DaddyDuc.
The damper is stock [thumbsup]
Hope to see y'all soon at a DFW meet-up.
Lisa
we are being invaded by yellow bikes!
why does no one like orange?
congrats on the new ride.
ahhh.. I love the 999's
Welcome!
;D DaddyDuc now GOTS a SBK! [clap] Congrats ! [moto] Where is the green envy smiley when you need one ! [bacon]
Thanks for the welcome. I am loving the new ride. I thought my "BUSA" was bad but it is nothing compared to my yellow duc. I took it to Stuart for an evaluation and he seemed to like it. I will get the 6K mile service done via Stuart over spring break. He suggested tires to take full advantage of the ride. The previous owner never leaned over so the tires are flat in the middle. It makes for some hairy cornering.
Congrat's on the new ride and welcome to the board. [beer]
I look forward to meeting you and that new bike of yours. [thumbsup]
which is still the dark because there is no clear coat to weigh it down!! congrats and welcome!!

That's so funny that there's even a debate. We all know that Italian thoroughbreds are red. [popcorn]

By the way, welcome and congrats on the new sled. Too bad it's not the fastest color. [cheeky]
That's the nice thing ...... ducati doesn't have a bad color ...Red, Yellow, or Black.

It's a new bike, handles different from a Busa (or so I've heard [laugh])
I am the lucky one since I have had the pleasure of riding both. They are like night and day. In a straight line there is nothing like a BUSA but in the twistes hello DUC

Red color adopted in the 90s before that Ducatis where Silver, White, Black, yellow and red for a few of the smaller models.

OK, I'll explain over beers soon. I keep forgetting you don't know all the players here yet. Dumbass on my part. :P I'm the Busa guy on the DMF board... at least this DFW part of the board. There are others. [thumbsup] I'll explain that too. [beer]
I am looking forward to a lot of meets with you all
