WHY DOES TIME AT WORK PASS SO SLOWLY!?!?!
Anyway... yeah... My helmet arrived today too. So I'll be posting pics up later... or I'll be busy riding it... or falling off it... I just passed my open class on monday...
Congrats on the new ride, stay positive mate! :) [beer] If you follow the run in instructions to the letter (nothing over 6K RPM for the first 1000Kms or so IIRC), I'm confident you won't have any problems with the 696 wanting to buck you off. After that you might wanna watch your step a little though.
Well done Tony. [thumbsup] You won't have any problems with it. It's a fun bike to ride. I'd be interested in your impressions of your new bike.
That's when you're done riding of course. :)
So how's the new beast?????
Where are you based so some DMFers can link up with you for a ride.... [moto]

Ok, firstly I apologise for the shoddy phone pics, but i was kinda rushing around and working out how best to get all 3 vehicles in the garage and still open all the doors and lean the bike over without hitting anything or anyone... oh and modding it ;D
I just took off the mirrors... drove home with them on from the dealer... didn't like em.

Here it is outside while we move the other two cars around, with the sliders and bar end mirrors on. Took me a couple of hours to do... mainly because my tools are either scattered all over the garage or non existant. I sure hope I got the torque right on those frame sliders. Otherwise it was all fairly straight forward, thanks to all those who posted the tutorials [thumbsup]

I did take some other pics, but in my rush and with grubby hands fumbling with the phone, they all came out a little IZ_. Will take more on the weekend... Or until I actually do some proper mods to it.
It's a pretty fun thing to ride tho... although it didn't seem to turn as well as the gs500 i was on earlier in the week. but i just probably need to get used to it... which is something i'm looking forward to with a huge grin on my face. Oh did i mention this is my first bike? So if i sound a little noobish... I just am. Anyway I have some manuals to go read [cheeky] Yay for Monsters. Yay for everyone! YAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!
Congrats Goombah.

EGAS
here here egas, someone is a lucky boy
lucky boy? i'd say its more of a quarter life crisis... oh and just to explain a little more about my current situation: in this current global financial situation we find ourselves in... all i can say is that it's good to be a government employee... with 2 guaranteed pay raises this year... and 2 more next year ;D
i'm glad i gave up contract work last year.
Heh, I thought that too until I got "Jeffed" in the early 90's, [bang]
