So, with that whole raffle behind us all [bang], I sold the bike yesterday and got spot on what I was asking for it. NOWWWW I need to find a new bike and extinguish the fire which is the money burning a hole in my pocket. THanks for looking !!!!!!!!!! [thumbsup]
I'm holding off my vote until I know more about what you're looking for in a bike and/or hookers n' blow experience?
;D, well, I've never owned a sbk before. I rode a 999s and liked it but felt like a missle and maybe not the best bike for the city. Ridden a DRZ400sm and thought it was underpowered but very light, liked the monster ergos and power delivery, hmmm. Blow and hookers, wellll [leo]
I know Some Guy who has a S4R for sale Dirt cheap ;D
That would be "incredible"
My 848 is always accepting offers ;D
I'm confuzzled. I thought the raffle was going to happen to raise money for school and foreign travel. Translation: needed to dump bike for beer money and a chance to get with a Scandinavian hooker. [laugh] You ended up selling bike instead? No Scandinavian hookers? What gives?
What do you want to do with the bike and why the interest in another monster. You just sold a very nice one?
Still going to europe, but still need a bike. If I get a monster it HAS to be dry clutch. And I wouldn't mind a motard to romp around on for a bit.
So get a Hyper, 1100 has a dry clutch, great around town and fun in the twistys. I believe johnc has one. care to give your views on owning one john?
When are you leaving for europe and how long will you be there? If you're leaving in a few months and are planning on staying there for a year or more, go the 50cc + hookers route. Why spend a big wad of cash on something that's just going to sit in your garage doing nothing for a long time? Plus what happens when you end up in a scandinavian jail and need cash for bribes?
going for 3 weeks, and I'll bring the duc keys, hopefully they will get me out of jail if i can bribe them on the count of insanity via hooliganism
Aren't you in school?
Save your money. Forget the bike. Forget Europe.
Go put it in an IRA.
1 year wont' make much of a difference on starting the IRA as when I get into practice I can dump alot more money than what I have currently , i don't have a car as I live in the marina in SF, so a moto is my only source of transportation, no bike, no gf, no gf, no well you know, no well you know, then [bang]

Mmmhmm. I can bring the bike up on Sat or Sunday if you wanna take a poke at it.
If it's raining I won't guarantee it'll be clean when I turn up.
be in tahoe this weekend but maybe next? [coffee]
Sure sure.
Personally I'd say WR250X.
It's my next bike if you buy mine ;D
sweet, my buddy just got one, he likes [moto]
go for the hypertard. [thumbsup]
once you get tard, you never go back ... just forward (and a little sideways too). [moto]

Damn, this thing is so much faster than my s2r 800. First new bike, only had 1 mile on it [moto]
Congrats!
Although personally I was looking forward to pictures of hookers :(

take a closer look at the blue honda in the parking lot ... if you squint just right, you can see the hooker in the back seat, practicing her trade.
Congrats on the new bike.

FYI, I went back and looked.
*Found it*
I'd post directly but I'm too PC at the possibility of anyone saying it's NSFW (http://www.breakitdownblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/mom-having-sex-in-car-with-kid-in-back-seat-475x328.jpg)
the hooker was thrown in since they didn't have any helmets in my size

That was nice of them.
Have fun on the bike, try not to lose your license in the first month [thumbsup]
Very cool... congrats!
So instead of the DMF, it should be called the S4RF ;D
Ummm it looks like your Christmas lights are on the new bike???? ;)
Congrats - she looks lovely! :)
This bike is starting to be a lot of fun. It starts up so quickly and doesn't even need the choke like the s2r. But DAMNN the clutch lever is so much stiffer to pull back. I heard that best thing to do is change the clutch slave?? Any thoughts? Thanks

If you use the clutch enough your hand will just get strong enough that you won't care. At least, that's what I did-YMMV.

Remove two springs from the clutch. Thats what I did. Never has slipped on me. Remove them from opposite ends of course =)
I am jealous. My 05 S4R always needs choke to Start and stay running in till it warms up =(

The desmoquattro engines require a fair amount of time for the oil to flow up to the cylinder heads so even if it starts quickly, don't rev it up for a little bit (like 30 seconds or so) as a general rule.
Keep the rubber down man! That's a helluva jump from an 800!
You're telling me [evil], I think this helmet would be more appropriate. (http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/english/doc/2005-07/14/xin_5007021414278622885216.jpg). Must respect the 996 motor [bow_down]

I definitely recommend an aftermarket slave. If you get one, I can help you install it.
Also, forget coring the pipes. Get yourself an Arrow full system [thumbsup]

I was going to go with a after market slave since I split lanes often and a hour doing that your hand gets cramped.
However...
If you remove 2 springs you reduce the pull by 33% and its a free mod [thumbsup]

Not sure I'd want to do that...you might burn through clutch plates quicker.

I am not sure how long plates are suppose to last but now since you said that I am sure I will have a problem... Dam you >:(

Probably not, if you're just commuting. I, on the other hand, tend to burn them up ;D
