Hey everyone, I'm looking for either a metal shop or a moto place to take my stock cans to so they can saw through em so I can core the pipes. I already contacted desmoto and they said they couldn't do it. I'd be bringing them in off the bike and just need an angle grinder or a saw to cut through the pipes to get the internals out. Thanks
How daring are you? I just picked up a new Hilti angle grinder... I also have a chop saw.
Suhweeeet, are you back or still in jersey?
Might be able to do it here too. I've opened up a few sets of pipes for a look-see as to the best way to core one. If you want to check out one of the "opened" cans, just swing on by. There's a lot going on in them, so it might be worth checking it out first, before you cut.
As you've probably noticed, I'm not spending much time here lately, so just give me a call... same ol' number.

I swear I read "Hilter" angle grinder and was thinkin' "Who the f' thinks its a good idea to brand their product 'Hitler'?"
I just did someone else's 848 pipes. Let me know if you still need help.
Is this a Baffle-ectomy,
a Cat-ectomy,
or both?

Do you wants it loud, smokey, or loud and smokey? [laugh]
If it's horsepower you're after, you might want to think about the air filter as well, then re-mapping/getting a new ECU. That get's expensive, but does give you noticeably more power ;D and as a bonus, less gas mileage [coffee]

Sweet, maybe we can do it this weekend, i bring beer and pizza. As to what type of core I'm not sure, I think i'd like to get all the guts out then use perforated tubing wrapped with exhaust packing and use Stainless steel ties, then connect that from inlet-outlet and sew her back up, doesn't matter if rivets or self thread screws are used, don't need more hp, just more vroom vroom..
