I am looking to swap out my stock clutch and brake levers for something different (and black in color)..
Havent searched around much, but I figured I would see what you all are running on your scoots..
So if you could please post a pIc of what you are running and where you picked them up from..
Thanks ! [thumbsup]
Pazzo shorties on the way for me. black with red switch.
Rizoma

Pazzo (long, brake and clutch) in titanium w/ black switch. I bought them from Motomummy.

I love my Pazzo shorties, but those Rizomas look pretty nice. Do they make them in a short lever?
CRG titanium grey. Long both sides, might switch to short brake lever. MotoWheels [thumbsup]

Thanks for the pics guys, and keep em coming..
So I take it if I run a "short" lever on the clutch side it would harder to pull the clutch in ?
Does it look weird when you have a short lever on the clutch and a normal sized lever on the front brake ?
Pazzo... Short [thumbsup]

I don't think so. I have shorty ASV levers on my Multi 1000. The clutch is actually easier to pull than it was with my stock levers. I figured it would have been harder...who knew. ??? I'm guessing maybe the lever shape is helping...as in I get a better grip on it so it *feels* easier to pull in.
Personally I just dig shorty levers...have the shorty CRGs on my 848 as well.
Pazzo shorties on both sides. It took me a while to get used to the short clutch lever becasue I use three fingers but after a few days it was fine. The shorties do look good though.

I'm sure the ease of pull has something to do with the new ergos you're adding to the bars. My S2R8 has non-adjustable levers that are a tad too far off the bars for my hands to be comfortable using them, but the Beemer's levers are set way too close to the bar to the point where I have to use all four fingers to cluch most of the time. If i just use the first two, the lever hits my ring/pinky fingers before it fully disengages.
Could you folks explain the one long, one short thing to me? I would think you'd want the longer lever on the brake side for "emergency situations". I don't see a need for any more than a two finger clutch pull with a hydraulic system on the Monster, and my hands aren't that strong. I like the look of the shorty levers much more anyway.

People put a longer clutch lever on for more leverage. Not an issue for a wet clutch, but it is for some on the much stiffer dry clutch.
To me a shorty gives plenty of leverage on the brake side. I could lock up the front wheel with 2-3 fingers so more leverage from a longer lever isn't necessary...especially on the 848.
well this is one of the mods i was wanting first on my bike!! and it looks like its gonna end up being one of the last mods i will do...
hopefully i will order my new levers by the end of this week...
the reason i haven't ordered them yet is because i keep going from one lever to the next lever to the next.
first it was the pazzos then the crg's then the pazzos then the crg's and then finally i was all set to get the asvs. that was it!!! the asv's!!! all the pics! all the research! all the staring! and finally i decided i was going to go with the asv's. i really, really loved the look of them. then that all changed last week when i got to see a set installed on a bike in person. i was very disappointed to say the least. in person they didn't look that great, and they seemed to look the cheapest of the three. but hey thats just my opinion and i don't mean to offend you guys that have the asv levers. i just don't want them on my bike...
so now its back down to the crg's and the pazzos.
personally i like the crg's the best. they look the coolest & they look like they are the nicest. the problem is i don't like the color combo they make them in. i don't like the silver perch and i don't like the red adjuster.
so that is why i am leaning towards the pazzos. yeah the still look good and they offer them with a black lever, black perch, and a black adjuster.
so i think... i am getting the pazzos...

It depends on the clutch.

IMO: Yes.
if I were to do it again I'd do short brake and normal clutch. sport riding is no biggie, but in slow traffic I'd prefer long clutch so I could do three fingers but still short brake.
its technical leverage....if you arent using the outside of a regular length lever, a short one isnt going to make it any harder since your still reaching for the same area.
Ive been trying to go for a short lever for ages now, since i lane split and on more than 5 occasions the brake lever has gotten caught on the side of a truck and my nuts got slammed into the tank.
I take it back...my MTS levers aren't ASV, they're made by CNR. I didn't think ASV sounded right. :P

Try the CNR ones. I didn't like the red only adjusters on the CRG's...at least not on my MTS (the red matches on the 848). CNR makes all black levers (lever, mount, switch, everything), which is what I have.

I have no idea of ^^ retailer...I got mine at Ducati Seattle. They're just as nice as the CRGs...basically just knock-offs.
Which ones did you order ?
The link above doesnt have a selection for my model and year monster ?

I went through the same issue and got the ASV's I think they look the best out of the three, but opinion is subjective. The milling and the logo on the front is very nice. Also the micro adjustment wheel is awesome. I would post some pics but camera doesn't work. BTW I have the black ones with red adjuster.

that feeling... i did the same lever run-around.... I too love the look of the ASVs.... but in the end I went Pazzos coz the Pazzo clutch lever has the... um... little dick that dangles down to operate the 696's clutch interlock microswitch and ASVs do not.

I am def. looking for the most "industrial" levers I can find, that also wont cost $500
like most of the stuff for this bike does [thumbsup]

there is a little tab that hangs down and pushes in a little microswitch. its so you can start the bike in gear with the clutch pulled in. not a HUGE deal but its nice to have.
i had talked to robert morales, the owner of ASV and he assured me that they fixed that problem on the newer levers and they did not have that problem any more. i told him i heard about this problem on the forums and i was concerned about it. he said they redesigned it for the 696 and he personally went to the ducati dealership and tested them out on the 696, and they work fine now. i'm just going by what he told me...
but then after i bugged him for a few weeks about this, i go and change my mind on the asv's... well maybe...

Call Sonny at Ducati Seattle...he can tell you what they have in stock for your bike, and how much they cost. I couldn't find an internet link for these levers listing Ducati (in my 30 seconds of searching [cheeky]).
I have 999 levers, but you need new masters for them to work. They might be the same MC as some of the newer monsters.

Anyone wanna buy a cheap set of near-new silver Pazzos - lol ?? [bang]
So looks like the concensous is ASV or Pazzo? Any reason? I like the short style and all the option for color that the Pazzos have. This may take a while to choose... [roll]
i'm going to order the asv's today! thats it! the black levers with the black dial from moto mummy. i'm going with the standard length. the ones i saw were shortys and they looked a little short and fat, which looked a little akward to me...
i just don't like the jeweled finish on the pazzos & i don't like the color combos on the crg's...
i'll post once i officially place the order...
well, i finally pulled the trigger. just ordered mine a few minutes ago and it figures i ordered the most expensive levers out of the three i narrowed them down to.
got the asv unbreakable levers. long ones with the black lever and black adjuster.
i'll post pics once i get them installed...

Might be a foolish question but would levers for a 696 fit a S2R1K ?
S2R800 - maybe.
S2R1K - sorry, nope.
I'm rocking these (I know they don't count as "aftermarket" since they are Brembo's, but they are upgraded Master's, and I really like the feel. I will upgrade to folding levers eventually):

just so you guys know...
ATTENTION TO EVERYONE CONSIDERING ASV LEVERS!!!!
i was kind of scarred to order these for a while because i heard from member here who intalled them, that the neutral kill switch "nub" thingy wouldn't fit right and i would have to install the lever without it. so basically i wouldn't be able to start the bike in gear, only neutral. well i had talked to robert morales, the owner of asv and designer of these levers and told him about the problem and told him that was the reason why i hadn't bought the levers already. well he said he would get it working right. anyway about 2 weeks later he gave me a call said the problem was fixed and he went to the local ducati dealership and personally installed the levers on a 696 there and tested it out and said it was working fine now!
well i just got them installed on the bike today, and he was right! levers work perfect. i can start the bike as long as the clutch is pulled in. just like the stock levers.
anyway i will post pics once i take some!!!
ive got the pazzo's on my 696 which will be for sale soon ( titanium with black knobs short ) what i liked about them is the knob to adjust lever is easy to adjust while riding to amuse myself i was adjusting the levers without looking down by just moving my thumb to the knobs.
saw a guy on my way to work one day, he was riding a chopper, his brake levers were shaped like brass knuckles. I always thought that would be fun to have on my bike, but I can't find them anywhere to see how they fabbed them up.

Hi... picking up my new Black M1100 that should arrive at the dealer this week with any luck... and having the stock levers swapped out with these ABM Synto levers:

They're a like the Pazzo and CRGs, but apparently better made. Getting shorties for clutch and brake... in black, obviously!
Will post pics when I finally get the bike!
not a damn one of these companies seems to make "GP" radial Master levers.

no offense to you dealers out there. but unless someone is paying me advertising dollars, i'm not putting a dealers name on my bike or car. i had AMS take off their sticker when i bought the bike. dealers should ask permission or pay for the advertising space.

as in put your fingers through holes as your brake/clutch? that is probably the most poorly thought out mod ive ever heard of. snap your fingers off on even a low speed drop, probably even dislocate them in an emergency swerve and brake too.
im looking at the asv levers online. its asking if i want large pivot, small pivot, or radial pivot. what does this mean? thx

The bolt which goes through the lever (lever pivots around it) is large on most of the coffin style reservoir master cylinder (see page 1 in this thread, 1313 and I have the large)
Small on the external/pee cup reservoir masters (page 1, Trock has the small)
If you have radial masters, you'd probably know it (page 3, Ato Memphis)
Which bike do you have?

Same as mine - large pivot bolt [thumbsup] It has happened before, that manufacturers don't know better than you/I/we. Better to give them a call to double check? Also to make sure it's delivered with the right tab for the clutch micro switch?
