likely one less round. i don't see anybody stepping up to organize a round scheduled for 6 months away.

I've heard it will be replaced with MotoGP Streets of Willow.

Well that sucks. Maybe NASCAR can add another round to fill up the time slot on Speed.

Forgive the ignorance, but is that because of longer straights at Barber and higher speeds, or is it a tight track?

it's a tight track.. commonly referred to as a "third gear track"

the SBK's formerly of the AMA have run it at pretty high velocity using alot more than 3rd gear...

besides, George Barber said something late last year about expanding the track to add a mile in for to attract world class event for when the contract expires at Miller.

I know...I did CSS level 1 & 2 there...it is a mostly 3rd only on a liter bike...3rd and 4th on a 600....I love that track though and wished I had my Monster instead of their bike in retrospect.

bah, if you aren't racing.. or even if you are, really.. who cares.  "third gear track" comes from guys who are getting paid to go obscenely fast.  i like technical stuff myself.. barber is one of the US tracks i'd really like to ride.

but a GP bike there would be... superfluous.   ;D
