Hayabusa: Best all around motorcycle ever!
I never publicly thanked fastwin for such a great bike [bow_down] I would never hesitate to buy another motorcycle from this man [thumbsup] The Turkey Slayer is immaculate [beer]
This really is the best do it all bike that I have ever ridden. It is capable enough in the corners to have fun. It is as comfy as a couch. It is a great two up machine. It is an easy bike to ride once you get used to the zero resistance throttle. The Givi hard bags rock!!
What is my biggest problem with the bike?
Every Damn Squid Wants To Race!!
I also wish that it had radial brakes.

I think there are about three of us. I've been considering a Busa for over a year as a "sport touring" machine. I got to ride a Sprint for about a week and a half. I liked that bike as well. So, it really was between the two. I finally broke down and got the Busa in February. (I too have to thank Fastwin for the advice [thumbsup]) I love the heck out of the Busa. ;D
Unfortunately, I've spent the last month taking off more chrome than was on my 70's model Chevy. We're almost there, but every time I perform some maintenance or detail another area, I find more. [bang]
Your 695 looks chromed in your avatar [laugh]

Red--matches the plastics, but I would like to go with a CF version. [thumbsup]
I am interested in acquiring that belly pan. A bike should understand its roots...
oh, thought it was a Monster pan.

Yep. I thought that was too cool when I learned of it. I wish I had a lifestyle that would allow me to apprentice as a falconer. Saw "Falcon and the Snowman" on TV in the early 90's and was hooked with the idea of training and flying raptors. Magnificent creatures.
Now, anyone here ride a Blackbird? ;)

if you're in CA still you have to get a special permit to train with them. just watched a show that somewhere near Sacramento is the State's training center. lovely being in CA, taxes taxes taxes and then fee fee fee fee :P
So the Hayabusa was named cleverly as if to claim it's superiority to the Honda Blackbird?
Ive been thinking about a Busa for a while now.....first mod involves about 5 cans of flat black Krylon....
Sweet Ride!
[thumbsup]
Thanks [beer] There are sill some mods I would like to do. I need to switch to EBC green brake pads soon, but the rest is all about comfort.

Why does it look like the bags don't want to be close to the bike? Like they don't want germs or something. Bags look like they should fit closer to the bike.
I got a big bore bike as well last week ... Pix and writeup here:
